Didn't make it into work - I am one of four staff who didn't and we are a small staff! Rang docs and have anti bs for the icky chest which is triggering the asthma.
Have decluttered the night manager from I player, mum said it was good.
    She was right.
    Hope you're sorted cycling.

lol.. Dizzy I don't think I've had a bath for about 7 or 8 years! .. does she struggle to get in the bath? My nanna hadnt had a bath in 4 years and SS assessed her and installed a wet room last year.. if she might find that useful.

By saying "had a bath", what I really meant was a shower, bath or any kind of proper wash and scrub. It is really gross and I feel really sad that she has been left to get in such a mess. In the autumn last year, I helped her move to a bungalow that has a wet room, because of her mobility issues, but since moving day the shower hasn't been used . Her daughter is supposed to be her carer but does absolutely nothing. DH's aunt has ulcerated legs, lymphedema from mid-thigh down, toe nails beyond description and hair so dirty and greasy it makes me heave. I'm afraid I told her she needed it done, rather than suggesting it (nicely though!)

I've not had a shower since christmas either.. I can't get in our bath to have one so can only get properly washed when we visit OH's mums as she is the only person with a shower cubicle thing.

I'd be ringing SS and getting them to provide a proper carer.. it is clearly making her unwell being dirty and ungroomed :(

Is she not receiving care from the community nursing team for her legs? or the diabetes team? the podiatry team would sort her trotters and most places you can self refer. It all sounds very uncomfortable.

Hiya, hope everyone had a good day, sorry to not reply individually I'm still learning about everyone and there are quite a few posts since last night.
I had quite a good day considering my son, 6, woke up and looked like he had slap cheek, took him to drs and it turns out he has Scarlet fever! He caught it last year and has had 5 throat infections this year alone, so we are being referred for a poss tonsillectomy. It's his schools' Easter play later in the week and the dress rehearsal and picture were today and he missed those, bit gutted for him.
Daughter, 3, still has a cough but Mon isn't a nursery day, so she's off anyway.
We had a meeting with our builder about the renovation, which was good. As we're having lots of work done, I probably won't stick to the daily job lists, and just do what I can each day.
After Drs app, I cleaned the kitchen sink and bin and then went food shopping. Luckily OH works from home and kept an ear out for DS, DD came with me. I took 2 bags to charity shop, paid in a cheque (rebate from last energy provider before we switched) and picked up some library books.
DD went to ballet and I dropped 6 bags of old clothes to textile bank at DS's school. When we got home I did ironing for 1.5 hrs, half cleaned out the under the stairs cupboard and a lady arrived to collect an old buggy I'd put on a free site.
Children in bed and hoping they stay there.
Not sure what I'll get done tomorrow, as I volunteer all day at a school, but i actually managed quite a lot today, so feel pleased.
This cleaning/clearing business could become addictive!

De-lurking to join you guys officially  I've been following the weekly threads for a while now, I really need help in keeping the house clean. A little bit about me, I live with my OH in our first bought house, no kids but plenty of animals (2 dogs, a ferret, a tarantula and a scorpion). I work 6 days a week and have a habit of leaving the cleaning till Sunday then getting fed up of doing it :rotfl: Following flylady recently has really helped, the house is already so much tidier, little and often seems to be the key, right here goes :)

Magnificent Monday - Living room, hall, stairs and porch!
    Dusted all furniture and computers.
    Wiped over leather sofa.

Main Goal - declutter my computer desk once and for all, why is it the dumping ground of the house

    Evening all,
    Thanks for list PIGPEN.
Welcome BEAR- glad you enjoyed your first day.

Well a busy day was had today. After the school run we went out for a walk: we did 8000 steps so pleased with that. Had a quick cuppa and then m and d came round. Mum helped me to sort out and organise the playroom. We bought a new unit from ik**. So built that and organised all the toys. Let's see how long it stays like it!!! Then it was time for nursery and school run. After school my cousin came round after a text that said 'put the oven on!'. She came round and prepared a full roast dinner so I could have a break from cooking! It was absolutely scrummy- what a kind and thoughtful thing to do!! Unfortunately the night took a turn for the worse before bedtime. Ds2 had a massive tantrum and little miss will not be put down in the evening for more than 5 minutes without crying so a stressful 45 minutes was had while I tried to juggle everything. OH is out on a Monday and I don't want to ask him to stop going but bedtimes really are a struggle at the moment. He has suggested he comes back a little earlier and the boys go to bed a little later so he can be back to help so will see how it goes.

I'm not posting a list as I think I will be busy tomorrow. But will try and pop on!

LW - I had the same email last week. I use that account for work so need to get it set up sooner rather than later!
Bluddy annoying, isn't it? Bad enough that they sold us down the river by selling their broadband and landline operation, but at least at that point we could keep our email addys.
LW and nicki sounds a right pain about the email addy, which company is it please I'm now scared I've missed an email and will lose mine.
'Tis O2. *mumbles incoherently about them being total rotters* However, I did a scrat about on Mr G00gle, and found an email provider that gives you a choice of what domain name you want - there's about 200 to choose from. So now my email has doglover as the domain name, while Mr LW's will be techie. :D

CY I hope all went well today - this is the first chance I've had to get on MSE - been doing more login changes, and also helping Mr LW get his head round some singularly horrible pension paperwork.

Bear a slightly belated welcome, from one "wild animal" to another.:rotfl:

Gotta go, Mr LW is hovering - that's hovering, not hoovering unfortunately, waiting to get his little mitts on the pc. :D
