Taking BT to court

Hello guys,
Basically I have an ongoing problem with BT. First of all, they lack fibre at my house.
The second problem is the main one. Since october 2015 my broadband from 8Mbit/s decreased to 2-3 Mbits and I still pay the same money.
Since I told them, there is a ongoing emailing with BT and their managers at newcastle etc.
What they did?
They have sent out 10! engineers, almost one every week. This has taken my day offs or my day when I could be working.
The line is still not repaired and since 9/3/16 I have no connection at all. They have promised twice since then that they will get this sorted.
Should I take them to court? Could I win? All they offered me is 60£ as a goodwill...
Now I want at least 500-1000£ from them for the lack of service. and please, dont come with that they have got lawyers paid thousands and something like this because people can actually won cases like this agains huge companies.

No! Surely more, think of the kittens/children.
Seriously unless you have a business contract, very unlikely you would win anything in court and very likely it will cost you you.0 -

Considering on a residential contract you only usually get compensation for any downtime, I'd snatch their hand off for £60 for just 3 days of no service!0 -

Other than inconvenience, what losses have you made from the lack of service? I doubt you can get anything from them. Take the £60 and join the many people who live in areas without good broadband service. If you get a decent 4G signal consider going down that route for your internet.0

Well, no lol.
60£ was not for 3 days. It was for two months since october where the broadband wasn't usable.
Since then, it's like this.
What loss? I lost around 10 days of not working because I had to stay at home?
4G is not an option. I am a heavy user, I need about 6-900GB/ month.0 -

>> as do many its not a right to have fibre .
You are at liberty to engage a lawyer to make a claim .You would need to quantify your losses .AS you don't have a business service you are unlikely to get more than a refund for time not in use and a small sum for inconvenience .
Have BT Open Reach given any indication of the problem area .0 -

Not a leg to stand on: It's not BT that's at fault. It's Openreach. BT as do most other providers state "up to" a speed.
The best you can hope for is a misselling but I tried it and no go: When I moved my BT Option 2 moved with me on a new 12 months contract but then I found that speed was not available at my new address and only Option 1 was available. Overall my appeal didn't work because I agreed to the contract by not disagreeing at the time.0
