    The List continued

    * Had a lovely catamaran ferry trip over to Dunoon. The terminal is quite near our house. We had fun watching and photographing the harbour porpoises that were following the boat. No need to pay for a wildlife trip today! As it's out of season the return tickets are £6.75 each and parking at the port is free. Enjoyed the adventure of taking the fast catamaran instead of the slow ferry which is £1.75 cheaper each.

    * OH wanted to go into a cafe as this was her birthday treat. We had a small drink each and shared a portion of chips. Quite restrained considering the acres of cake on display inside. :coffee: Took drink with us on the ferry so we wouldn't want anything on board.

    * Luckily for my wallet the mountaineering shop doesn't open on Sundays. I would have liked a look, never mind. :(

This is the end of my five days holiday. Sigh. I find the prospect a bit depressing.

Hi all. What a lovely weekend. Instead of sorting for fb selling I have spent most of the weekend tidying the garden - free exercise for body and soul! Shed emptied and tidied. Veg patch dug. Borders weeded. Lawns mowed. Chicken run running repairs done. Only down side is a huge pile for the dump!
Also line dried three loads of laundry.
Dinners from stores although did get a baguette from local shop for lunch - freshly baked and nicer than one from supermarket.
Eldest daughter needs some bigger riding boots and have found a decent second hand pair for fraction of price of new pair on fb local sellers page which is a result. :D
Emailed 'Debbie- hams' to complain about a necklace I got for Xmas which has lost 3 crystals already - hoping for a replacement as its a nice necklace.
Relaxing now ahead of week 6 day 1 of couch to 5k this evening......hope I can find the energy!!
All in all a productive weekend! Hope everyone else had a good one.

    Evening everyone :D
So, after all of the excitement of getting my laptop back fixed I only go and put it down again and don't touch it for over 24 hours
Lots going on though - dh and I went out for our 'date night' last night. Just for a bite to eat and we were back home not long after 8pm... It was ok, all a bit deep and serious chat, but I suppose we needed it.
I didn't sleep so well and then had a lie in this morning.
    So far today I have:
    :D checked bank and PAD
:D prepped some work ready for heading back tomorrow
:D Went out for a coffee and catch up with the bestie - so good to see her well again
:D Not used the heating at all
    :D Done some crochet
:D 2 loads of washing done and dry
:D Meal planned for week ahead

    Still to come:
    :D Early night
:D Packed lunch prep for tomorrow
:D Kids to sort themselves for school

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. The weather has made a lot of difference to my mood.

    :D

    Morning all :)
Sunny and chilly here at the moment. I am waiting for the shopping delivery, so will need to put that away once it arrives. Other things for today:
Quick hoover round while DH takes dog out (he hates the hoover, thinks he might disappear up it - and given the size of him, he might! (Dog, not OH, who very definitely is in no such danger :rotfl:) Done
Make fruit tea loaves - the fruit has been soaking in the tea overnight Done, made two small ones, should last the week :)
Strip off bed (both ours and the spare), wash linen and dry it on the line :)Done ours, not the spare yet
    HM meals
Make a big pan of chilli for dinner(s), soup already in the fridge for lunch :)Done, used up some bendy veggies, just got some jacket potatoes in the oven to go with it :)
Get OH to help me move some heavy pots etc in the garden Done a few, got to think about some others

DS is popping in this afternoon, so it will be nice to see him :)He brought my mothers day present :D - and took the coffee table and vouchers I had for GS1's birthday :T
Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday :)

    Also -
OH did the dog walks today
He also did some garden jobs and tidied up a couple of sales items for me :A (might be because of the amount he spent yesterday :rotfl:)

Made a loaf in the BM
Was gifted some HM goulash from a Hungarian friend of OH's - will try that tomorrow. It doesn't look like I imagined, but is his mother in law's recipe, so obviously authentic :)
Harvested my forced rhubarb - it is currently baking in the oven with sugar and the juice of a tired looking satsuma from the fruit bowl :)
Sold 2 items for not very much on ebay. At least they will be out of the way!
Packaged up this week's postal survey items, the last lot for a while I gather!
Cut up an old towel for cleaning / polishing cloths - I get through lots of those, not due to a housework obsession , but because I have a small antiques / vintage business and always have stuff needing cleaning :D
Put a large plastic planter thing I don't want any more on freecycle
Put some clean but only fit for ragging textiles in a bag to take to the charity bin in the supermarket car park tomorrow :)

Lovely sunny day, but chilly now, and we are sat by the woodburner waiting for supper to be ready :)

    Good Afternoon All

Hi to all of the regulars and a BIG welcome to all the newbies, this is a really FAB thread with so many lovely, caring, considerate and supportive people.

Had another lovely day DS spent time with his friends so we took the opportunity to nip to Bakewell and have a wander around in the glorious sunshine. So today we have:

LSD day (bought large bag of compost from supermarket and newspaper)
    Walked
    Checked Bank
    Washing done and line dried
Spent time in garden - filling pots and tidying
    Read
    Entered a few comps
    All meals from cupboards/fridge/freezer
Checked https://www.freepostcodelottery.com - Remember there are now 5 chances to win
    Checked Lucky Phone

Right, off to pamper my feet and read.

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend! Love to you all!

Morning all. Bit foggy here but hoping it will clear to sunshine to get some washing out. I love drying washing outside, it definitely makes me feel so much better in so many ways :)

Today will mainly about getting the house ready for lots of work tomorrow but some MSE stuff too:

Check bank, move money's for things for present stash to current account from present fund, same for clothes
    Drain and remove radiator
    Remove last bits of wallpaper
Take telly off wall and put on stand
Move as many 'small things' upstairs out of the way as possible
    Meals from stores
Try and make some bread by hand to have with tea/lunch
    Make soup for lunch
Get ready for school / working week
See if there is any stashed fruit in the freezer for a crumble

    Check back later x

Wow, just sat down from about 8.30 this morning. But had a great day. Amazing what a bit of sunshine does for the soul :D I managed everything on my list apart from the bread, so very pleased. I also have managed to sell two things on FB for £15. Annoyed that one lady offered £2 less when she got here, but cba too argue. :o paid to cc anyway, so am happy

2 items listed on fleabay, will try and do a couple more now whilst relaxing in front of box.

Also sorted box of goodies for next sale whilst de cluttering lounge and some more for charity shop. Lounge ready for tomorrow too :D

Well done to all those that have been in the garden - that would be where I would have definitely been if lounge wasn't on a time clock ;)

Washing on DW already on timer for cheap leccy later. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday frugal friends :)
