    * Looked at Screwfix special offer. I logged into their website and ordered a catalogue. They then emailed me a code for £5 off Screwfix with no minimum spend. With that I can get some superglue, some sealant and some cuphooks for nothing if I collect from town. :D (Link

    I receive the screwfix catalogue through the post, the latest copy came with a voucher for a free powerbank :D

    * Annoying list - Wanted to sort out drawers with pens/rulers etc we have lots of that kind of thing but in various places around the house so want to consolidate and have everything in one place. - My niece is here and bored so I asked if she wanted to do it (she doesn't get pocket money from her mum so I've offered her £2 to do it for me whilst I watch the rugby - not sure if that makes me a good or bad auntie!!

    That's all I can think of for this afternoon - hope you're all having a good one!

    Neither. a wise auntie ;)

    I'll try and pop back later with a list.

    Morning all. Bit foggy here but hoping it will clear to sunshine to get some washing out. I love drying washing outside, it definitely makes me feel so much better in so many ways :)

    Today will mainly about getting the house ready for lots of work tomorrow but some MSE stuff too:

    Check bank, move money's for things for present stash to current account from present fund, same for clothes
    Drain and remove radiator
    Remove last bits of wallpaper
    Take telly off wall and put on stand
    Move as many 'small things' upstairs out of the way as possible
    Meals from stores
    Try and make some bread by hand to have with tea/lunch
    Make soup for lunch
    Get ready for school / working week
    See if there is any stashed fruit in the freezer for a crumble

    Check back later x

    Morning

    What a lovely day again! Makes you feel so much better.

    Thanks for the helpful comments about my spending spree, it was just a wobble I think. Thankfully I didnt take any of the labels off and there is plenty of time to return it all.

    DH and DS1 spent the whole of yesterday replacing part of the fence that goes around our big front garden. I think that DS1 should have some sort of reward for doing it, he worked so hard while his brother was inside on the Playstation! We are shopping today, they want more fencing materials and all the big DIY stores are 25 miles away.

    I will allow myself £10 to spend on anything that I want - but no more.

    Have a good Sunday everyone x

    Morning all :)
    Sunny and chilly here at the moment. I am waiting for the shopping delivery, so will need to put that away once it arrives. Other things for today:
    Quick hoover round while DH takes dog out (he hates the hoover, thinks he might disappear up it - and given the size of him, he might! (Dog, not OH, who very definitely is in no such danger :rotfl:)
    Make fruit tea loaves - the fruit has been soaking in the tea overnight
    Strip off bed (both ours and the spare), wash linen and dry it on the line :)
    HM meals
    Make a big pan of chilli for dinner(s), soup already in the fridge for lunch :)
    Get OH to help me move some heavy pots etc in the garden

    DS is popping in this afternoon, so it will be nice to see him :)
    Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday :)

    Hi March Money-Watchers,

    Thanks for the starter Jonno.

    Bit of a grey day today, but OH and I are heading out for some photogra-faffing.

    Debt Free-Nillionaire Continuity Plan Month Ten:

    * Home-cooked roast for dinner today.

    * Checked finances.

    <<<<< Ooooo, I got my Home Insurance Hacker badge!

    * Alarm clock turned off at the wall til tonight. I refuse to power an appliance when not in use.

    * Take a ferry over to Dunoon and try no to spend [STRIKE]any[/STRIKE] too much(!) money while there. There's a mountaineering shop! :exclamati Mountaineering shops are to me like catnip to a cat...and I haven't spent any money in one for ages.

    What about you folks?

    Afternoon all!

    Hope you're all having a nice Sunday.

    Today I have/will:-
    * Check banks
    * Two loads of washing done and hung on the line
    * Post some adds on Gumtree and local FB selling group (fingers crossed they sell as otherwise we will have to pay to get rid of them - some tiles removed from the roof when we did some work but may advertise them for free if they don't go by next weekend)
    * Meals from stores
    * Sort out laundry
    * Snap receipts
    * OH continuing work in the garden but not really anything I can do to help
    * Mop floors later once OH is no longer stomping around in muddy shoes!

    That's everything I can think of for now!
    Debt as at 5 June 2023 - £15,600.89
    Current debt - £4,800
    Total paid off - £10,800.89 (69% paid off)

    Hi to all,
    Having a happy gardening day today & haven't spent a single penny. Would kick in a list, but I've only popped in for 20 mins for a quick lunch break. Am off back outside now to finish digging over a big bed. Narrowly avoided a vet trip as cat decided he wasn't as injured as he thought he was. A big stroke & a lot of fuss later, he perked up. Ok, back to it.

    2) To read 50 books (12/50) 3) The Re-Shrinking of Foxgloves 8.1kg/30kg
    Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!

    Hi all

    Just had a lovely day out. Treated DS1 to some clothes, a jumper, long sleeved t-shirt, a shirt and some jeans (mostly in the sale) for £32. I have a separate pot of money for the kids clothes so that was OK. He is growing like mad so I am pleased he isnt wanting designer stuff like some of his mates.

    Bought myself a lippy for £8 to replace the one that I have nearly used up. I didnt even look at clothes and resisting buying any sports stuff even though it was vastly reduced, I have more than enough.

    Going to do a bit of ironing, make something for tea with mince and walk the dog.
