So you can pass a test without knowing how to park or reverse

The manoeuvres used to be parallel park, reverse round a corner, and three point turn, and you had to do 2 of these on the test, IIRC, when I did the test.
After this (1997) reversing into a parking space was added, as well as having to identify bits under the bonnet.0 -

Currently (since 2010-ish) you only do one out of three possible manoeuvres - reverse round corner, turn in road or reverse park (either on road or in car park). The DVSA are considering alternatives such as reversing out of a space.0
