So my 30 odd year old sister managed to passer test in an automatic on the sixth attempt . But she cant park or reverse at all. Its not funny, she has no ability to judge how far to turn the wheel or what direction and was almost hitting cars trying to reverse out of space you manoeuvre a bus in.

There's no way someone like that should be allowed on the road, she's almost certain to have an accident

She must have reached the standard required in the test.

Wether that was due to skill or a fluke makes no difference.

There's loads of drivers I see everyday who can't park or reverse properly to save their lives. I often wonder how (or if) they get their licences.

I am one of the people you all hate, sorry. I cannot park for toffee. My workplace think it's hilarious. My colleagues ask me who parked my car for me (if I am between the lines). Oh well.

No, not oh well. Get out there and practice until you know how to do it. It's not hard.

It's people like you that cause cars like this to be made and advertised on the basis that they can do the "amazing" trick of parking for you. You have a brain capable of doing it but can't be arsed. To hell with you.

    Lol. You are hilarious.:rotfl:

So I can't park well. It's not the end of the world (as you are clearly making it out to be).

As for practice, I normally attempt it 4 times a day thanks. I'm still rubbish.

Luckily for me :Tyou are perfect.

You can pass a test without doing lots of things.

    Motorways
    Cold weather driving
    Night driving
    Country roads
And in extreme cases roundabouts and possibly even traffic lights and pedestrian crossings.

    Good points.

I remember passing my test in 86. First thing I did was go out for several hours by myself and put myself into 'tricky' situations so that I could try and watch other road users practices and learn from them. I class myself as a poor driver as I feel we all need to learn on a daily basis. Anyone who says 'the roads are full of idiots' needs to have a look at themselves first. I've done advanced driving courses several times and we all need to keep refreshing.
