So you can pass a test without knowing how to park or reverse

Good point Richard. I am just as guilty of pre-judging as the rest of them!
I will have a little word with myself.0 -
I can reverse park easily, but parallel parking in reverse I'm rubbish as I very rarely need to.
On a daily basis I see some drivers no idea how to use a roundabout e.g. second exit and drive "straight" across.0 -

Don't be so judgmental.
I'm not a "dude".Trying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
I can't parallel park very well and have no intention of practising. So there.0

Seeing as spacial awareness is a primary skill needed for safe driving, I think anyone who is incapable of reversing a vehicle into a parking space should have their license removed..... No exceptions.
Last week I followed someone who was clearly a new driver (she looked about 14 years old), doing 35 in a 60 limit D/C and exiting every roundabout in lane 2 after entering in lane 1.
I was shocked that this person had a drivers license...... It raises alarm bells that we are being soft on youngsters today when it comes to learning to drive.
It should not be possible for that level of incompetence to obtain a drivers license and the ability to reverse a car safely and skilfully once was and I believe still should be a pass/fail point on any driving test.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

what about riding a motorbike? Obviously a gold wing is out of the question as it has a reverse gear.0

Why were you following this driver for some distance at 35 in a 60 limit?
How could you tell her age from behind?
How do you know she has a licence?0 -

I overtook after she move out of lane 2, back into lane 1 and I got a very good look at her.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Should have been looking where you were going0 -
I can recommend a documentary available on BBC iplayer called "Licence to kill"
It should serve a warning to ALL drivers (though it was directed at young inexperienced drivers who exceed the speed limits) whose driving skills are poor.
We all have a huge responsibility to take care and improve our driving standards and none of us drives perfectly all the time. one momentary lapse or mistake could change life for ever.:A Goddess :A0
