BBC shop closing down bargains

This store is closing down and there are lots of Mary Berry cook books very cheap (as low as £3) with free delivery.

    Ha! Only 20 quid, lol?! Though to be fair, I'm well chuffed to have bought two books (Earthflight and Nopi) cheaply that I've wanted for ages. And, err, maybe just one or two other books too... ;)

    what on earth are the bbc doing running a book shop?? no wonder the licence feei s so expensive! still some bargains ta!!

    If you actually read the website it states
    "BBC Worldwide is a commercial company that is owned by the BBC (and just the BBC).
    No money from the licence fee was used to create this website."

    Any profit made by BBC Worldwide is put back into the BBC, therefore making the license fee LOWER.
    In 2014/15, BBC Worldwide generated headline profits of £138.6m and headline sales of £1,001.8m and returned £226.5m to the BBC.

    It does seem strange they are closing the shop, maybe it is just costing them too much to run for the amount of internet traffic it gets.
