Its so stressful not knowing what I'm doing week to week. Can't wait to get a permanent job.

I've ordered a fairfx card using MSE link for £20 off. $900 for 18 days on the card, $50 a day. Most things are already paid for, hotel, tickets and transport so its just general spending really we need. Also taking $300 in cash. So in total its about $66 per day.

10days we are in a villa with a supermarket 5 minutes away so we will be food budgeting, I've also bought cheap £1 lunchboxes to bring with us that keep food cool so we can bring food with us when we are out for the day :) might bring some icepacks with us as well.

We also are going to pay off our credit cards before we go so we have access to them if we run out of money and we still have money in a current account we can use aswell

So I bought $300 holiday money and I went between the two shops in the town, one wanted £230.77 and the other £220.59. Safe to say which one I chose!

Saved all together on going between the shops and MSE link - £30.18!

We have $66.66 every day between the three of us, so $22.22 each per day. No idea how it managed to end up like that number!

Currently on walmart website seeing what price food is. Trying to see what I would be cheaper bringing with me!

Also bringing our cloth nappies, want to make use of the USA sun to get the stains out of them!

Well done on planning for your holiday. The daily cost is v low so I applaud you that must have taken some budgeting. Good luck with applying for new job. I know it is tough out there looking for work.
Aiming for a minimal spend 2022

Another £375 paid/saved off the things in our sig. Park tickets paid off and emergency savings back up to £500! Also some of the honeymoon paid off and some put aside for the wedding fund!

MOT was £144 so not too bad, all paid for in cash straight away so no debts occurred for that!

We've also worked out we can afford to change some more money into dollars so we have $75 per day ($25 each), OH wanted a nice even number so we in total for 18 days have $1350 spending money!

By the way this is only for food and some transport. Everything else is paid off, tickets, hotels etc!

OHs credit card paid off this month (not included in my totals) and mine will be paid off by the end of this month :)

Now to make a meal plan for the next week or so!

Thank you! Just nipped out to get some shampoo as we are nearly out, Lidl selling shampoo and conditioner for 35p each! So I bought 3 of each. Normally we buy ones that are £1/£1.50 so very happy with that!

Task for the next few weeks... get internet cheaper! We currently pay £36.16 every month to BT for our broadband & line rental. Our contract is up the start of July so wanting to get this cheaper:)
  • Bargain!!

You should defo be able to get it cheaper than that, get your bargain hunting hat on.

We are with Sky at the minute & it's so expensive but we just decided that we can't live without it so just try to get a deal every now & again with them. I always here people getting such good deals when they say they are going to cancel but I never get such luck when I call them.

So Martin Lewis had a deal on for Sky broadband for £61.35 for the year so I have taken advantage of that! We have to pay £56.25 for cancelling early with BT but compared to what we already pay per year (£433.92!!) it works out great! With the cancellation fees taken into account, we're still saving £316.32 overall! I had to take advantage of the this deal, even when it goes up to full price after the 12 months its £27.40... Nearly a tenner cheaper than I am with BT!

Luckily my fashion sense is plain practical clothes. I normally wear a pair of leggings, a plain block coloured top and a cardy.

I've bought M clothes out a shop locally called pep & co but never looked at the adults clothes. I went in to buy some leggings for myself for work and I am very happy!

£3 for a pair of leggings, £3 for a pair of shorts and £2.50 for tops. Very impressed with the quality for the price. I paid £6 for a swimming costume but it has no support what so ever for my boobs. It was definitely designed with a flat chested woman in mind! Everything else I'm very happy with! Just bought a few pieces to try but definitely going to buy some more for the holiday!
