Ebay buyer scam, £600, new iPhone,

Also notice that the recipient is confused and calls your ID the "buyer" instead of the "seller" in the video description.
Also this brings to mind that eBay will also want to be sure that you two are not in cahoots.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0 -
1.The box isn't sealed when it is removed from the packet
2.The Identtification Stickers are missing from the back of the box when it is turned over 1.30min0 -
Ah yes, there isnt IDs there. Also you can see that the box when she starts the video is thick and wide, which is a 6S Plus box. However she gets out a normal 6 box which is narrower.
I quite sure that with the CCTV from the post office and the item's weight, I can take her to court.0 -
Why is she snorting like a pig in the video? And why would she not want to show the actual opening if it genuine? She's actually made herself look more guilty in that video!
Unfortunately I think you will lose this on eBay so you will have to do your best through small claims. I suggest that you also report her to Action Fraud.0 -
Yeah reported her there straight after her first letter.
Thanks guya for the help, now I will not hesitate anymore just file the court's claim. This is totally unacceptable that she can easily get away with things like this.0 -
I actually had thought that her breathing was getting faster as if 'panicky' as she proceeded to open the box. But if I'm honest, this whole thing just doesn't make sense. I am also going to play devils advocate here:
Why would you sell a 'brand new and sealed' iPhone 6 on eBay, why not take it back to the retail shop where it was purchased from for a refund? Bolyki, did you mention that you have a video of you packaging it up? Why not post it on YouTube also, so that people can see what exactly has been packaged. I don't think CCTV from the post office will reveal the contents of the package?
On another hand, why would the buyer feel the need to video themselves opening the envelope, then post it on YouTube, revealing their home address?
I presume that she is holding the camera with one hand, whilst opening package with another one, not an easy task if you ask me. There are a few seconds where the video goes dark, however, I do not think enough time has passed between when you hear the tear off and her getting the box out of the envelope.0 -
No problem buddy, I will upload the video I made. I cannot take it to retail, I have received the phone from Barclays because my phone was stolen. They have provided me with proof of ownership and insurance too. I have been a bit short on money, and I have received a unboxed item.
However I have not recorded how I wrap the phone, but how it looked like before half an hour of posting. I know that the post office CCTV wouldnt show the ID of the back of the box but it can easily show the huge fish which is on the box I wrapped:-) the 6S plus has a huge red fish on the box.0 -
If I had been opening the parcel, expecting one thing and it turned out to be totally different and inferior, I would be shouting/screaming/cursing!!! Why is she so calm? Almost as if she was expecting something different???0
-
OP, I have 13 years of experience on eBay, and I believe you did send the correct phone. I think the buyer is a con artists. Make sure you keep a copy of that video from YouTube.0

Appreciate the help guys, the first thing I will do when I get home is to copy that movie. I do not reply to her from now on either.
I could grab a few lads from my friends and go and smash her door, but that would make me lose my job.
I want everything to be proceesed fairly and thats it. I can actually pay off another 100£ to Barclays and they would send me another phone, but why would I go that way. I dont want this idiot to cause anyone else loss, especially not to my insurance company.0
