Morning all.I got some in A Boldon a couple of weeks ago and last week. Still plenty last week as they had put new pallets of bottles (with no vouchers) on top of the voucher ones.
Had to flex the muscles to retrieve voucher bottles. :rotfl:“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

Travel time shouldn't be included MKS, if care plan says visit should be for 30 minutes then that is how long they should be there for. This was how long they first suggested they could get mum out of bed, no hoist she was still able to stand just, toileted, complete body wash, dried, sheets changed and back in bed or moved to lounge. I managed to get this extended to 45 minutes.
My mum was still sound in mind that if just her face had been washed she would not have felt clean, this was one dignity we could give her until the end especially after lots of leaky bags like LS had.
You are right, TS. I didn't make it clear. Travelling time is included in the carers' day (or supposed to be) and not the visit time.
Dad needed two carers to lift him as after his hip replacement, he couldn't weight bear and had to stay in bed 24/7. He too needed the personal care that you've described for your Mum and felt as she did. The carers kept saying that they weren't told to change the sheets/laundry/basic cleaning then it was that they didn't have time. After a few days, his room was decidedly whiffy. I ended up writing in their log that I had advised the nurse who came daily to inject his warfarin and that she would contact their agency to advise that the required services were not being carried out. Later, I received a call from the Agency requesting that I provide additional bed linen etc. (ie 5 x sets of sheets, 5 x duvet sets, and 2 more duvets) as Dad only had 4 sets of everything! They also wanted more clothes airers so that the bedding could be hung up to dry. I always did Dads' personal clothes washing even though it was part of their remit. Ditto cleaning/washing up.0 -

New job going ok so far I think. They seem to like me and what I'm doing and I seem to like them and what I'm doing. Win win

Morning all
Lovely and sunny here at the moment.
So sorry to hear about your daughter's catering rhosynbach but at least it will get sorted out. Things like that seem like the end of the world at the time but ultimately it's the marriage rather than the wedding that is important. Congratulations on your other news.
Care visits...exactly the same issues with my mumBecause she lived in an annex on my sister's house, the carers would try to get done as quickly as possible and let my sister pick up the slack. Too often, the last visit of the day got missed completely.
