Bubbs, I remember you being flooded a few years ago and your home was water tight. I remember you got back in and then had to move out for shut down.

Why did they purposely flood you?

So sorry to hear about the site flooding Bubbs. I heard on local news that some had been evacuated and just prayed it wasn't your area

Silvercar, when the water gets high enough to threaten town centre, they open flood gate on river to let more water run downriver, to prevent damage to built up area. The water then overflows to natural and man made flood plains (and these days, other areas too) and spreads the water to areas downstream too. When these flood gates are opened, these areas are sacrificed to protect built up areas. Hence the 'deliberate flooding' Bubbs spoke of

Right I must try to sleep now. Been out for lovely but very filling Indian meal tonight with dog rescue friends and when I got home at 11.30 I was too full up to sleep, but hoping I can now

    Night night all

I've not had an Indian meal for ages, mind you I only eat Korma as I don't like anything too hot or too spicy

I've woken up and can't get back to sleep grrrr and yet I feel tired and my eyes are heavy. I think I'll read another chapter of my book then try again to sleep.

    Good night, good morning :)
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

    Thankyou for asking aj.
I've had a rare midweek day off and been shopping alone. Sounds silly but I do struggle with going in shops. I had a melt down in Lidl :o
As part of my exposure response therapy I was supposed to face these fears everyday but with working I've only been going shopping at weekends when oh is with me so I'm guessing I've not progressed with recovery xx

Tried a different T on the way home last night, but still no pies:(

However, got some good Woopsies. Including 2 x 5kg sacks of chicken pellets! (Cheaper per kilo than the farm shop!). Bizarre!

I did get the AB chicken pie meal deal from Co op when I collected my free pizza 'Swipe to Win' prize. Meal deal + free pizza + NUS alumni card = £4.

    Happy Friday! Free Hugs!

  • Good morning!
Well today is finally here and I'm delighted that it looks to be a beautiful day so far hopefully we will be able to use the beautiful patio aswell today.
I really would like to thank everyone for their support over the last couple of weeks and for the very kind donations. Last night we got a couple of last minute donations to the raffle a dog groom and an MOT off two of my cousins the dog groomer did say she would offer a dog groom as long as it wasn't bobby:eek: I took him the other day and it took her three hours :rotfl:
I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of the elite. My just giving page has raised nearly £300 and that has been mainly from the elite so thank you very much. Thank you also to the people who have donated in other ways, you know who you are :A
I will let you know later today what the final amount is.
Bubbs your bil and sis will be high on the list of people we are remembering today.
I'd better get polishing my shoes in case we do a photo shoot like the ideal home one :rotfl::rotfl:
    Have a fabulous day everyone:T
