Iona - Love the cake! Well done.

Well yesterday was slightly more productive. I made my delivery, went to the bank, picked up some supplies for work, picked up make-up supplies spending £45 in total  Most of it will last 18 months so DD will at least get plenty of use out of it as that would cover 4 comic-con events plus Halloween & her messing around with it as the girl threw in a special effects make-up guide and now DD wants to try almost everything in there :rotfl:

Came home, dumped stuff, ate, went back out to take some donations to the charity shop and do some grocery shopping while I had a bus pass. Came home made another delivery and then spent the rest of the night watching the make-up tutorial while doing DD's make-up. It took us 2 hours (but that included cutting/styling the wig) but looked good. There's some tweaking to be done which hopefully having more time/using a hair dyer to speed up the drying time of the liquid latex should be achievable tonight. I took photos at each stage of the latex part so I could see what I did and it'll give me a chance to work on a solution without needing DD here.

Todays plan is to put my books out (I was supposed to do it Tuesday but they weren't ready due to problems with work! :o:mad::o), make a prop knife, write an email/make a phonecall re my work problems which I was meant to do Wednesday, do laundry and hopefully get some flying done. We'll have to wait and see how much is actually achieved before DD gets home about 4.30. I have a feeling its going to be a busy but not much to show for it sort of day.

Speaking of which, I best go shift myself and set up my laptop so I can get newsletters printed.

Frizz.. None of mine wore anything other than sleepsuits until they were walking! I was quite glad noone bought us anything.. there are some very cute little outfits available though :)

I only bought the bare minimum and do glad I did! I only bought vests and sleep suits and a hat and coat. I resisted all the cute outfits! Little miss tends to stay in sleep suits during the day unless we are going visiting. We have been bought more vests and sleep suits, two piece outfits, tops, cardigans, socks, oodles of bibs, two dolls, cuddly toys, rattles and baby toys, hats, blankets gro-bags and dozens of dresses! Far too much!!! Some people have put gift receipts in so I have sorted through and going to exchange some for a bigger size. So that she has it spread over the first year rather than having too much 3-6 months. I hope people won't mind- I would rather get more wear out out of them rather than only wearing something once!
I ordered thank you cards last week and when I counted them up I had 38 to 'write'. With the boys I made my own with a little printed photo on the front. I haven't got time for that so ordered them with a universal inscription in them. I hope people won't mind!!

Sorry for not posting much this week but trying to stay focussed and not come on here too often Today I've been flying as I can but also been doing some paid stuff for new boss A; going so well I can't believe it. Also walked the dog with a friend. Both lots of kids bedding stripped and washed so need to hang that up to dry on my midden now. S is bring a friend home after school to play and have tea so thought I'd make a nice shepherds pie or something. Really want to get knitting but need to try to hold on as got housework to do first!

Hi everyone, hope you have a good holiday Lynne.

I've been to work again then at home I've sorted through my cookery basket that holds everything apart from cookery stuff. It's still full to the brim but some stuff is now where it belongs and at least I now know what's actually in the basket.

got a call into work this morning - so dashed of with a sachet of porridge for my breakfast...use by Sept 2014. I laugh in the face of use by dates...

and I am now, officially, shattered

but just checked my diary...BiL's birthday Monday so back out to buy, write and post a card then I don't have to dash out in the morning.

Note to self - write card list and get the cards bought for April (for there are lots)
