A room over a landing from another room. You've never seen anything like it and can't imagine it? OK.0 -
Resurrecting this thread due to new property coming on the market fitting the description, for your perusal ...

Price is toppy, it could be worth towards that if it were a standard layout.
Note the EA statement in the description:
"Unusually but very convenient for visitors, the second bedroom is privately accessed off the immaculate internal hallways, boasting its own en-suite facilities and WC giving guests much needed privacy"0 -
I quite like the layout. it IS useful for guests (or a lodger). Not so good for children though!(AKA HRH_MUngo)

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -

Which suggests either you don't want them there. Or they don't want to be there!0 -
Yes it sounds as if the guests can't stand the owners lol0

I like it, it would be ideal for letting out, but it seems expensive compared to other properties in the area.
For it to seriously interest me (assuming I lived in the area, I don't) the price would have to be more in line with a one-bed flat because I wouldn't personally use the second room on a regular basis. It really would only be for guests.0 -
Sounds really odd to me. I wouldn't have bought such a property when a first time buyer0

Looks complicated. If you had a lodger there, would they need their own TV licence? There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
