    Morning all

Well I can't believe how easy it was to get A & W out of bed! Last night I said to A 'when the alarm goes off you must get out of bed straight away' she has ignored it all summer but there she was bang on the dot of 7am. Asked her go and get W and he was ok after a couple of mins as well!!!

Lunches packed, book bags and PE kit ready. They are eating brekkie now while I am about to jump in the shower. This is going wayyyyyyyyy to well! lol

Good luck to all the school returners young and old ;)

nicki - not commenting on schools everywhere, our school has 2 guys, one has just left our school, so 17. The other guy is very early 20s, and in the summer i know they play frisby/read harry potter, and don't work that hard so that is why i was criticising. E.g the computer system was updated in the hols, and they forgot to reinstall the printers on any computer in school, and the staff codes changed, so some staff could still log on as before, but others had their passwords reset, so chaos as no consistency

Ahhhh...you have kids as IT technicians then  My OH has been doing the job for about 4 years (he's just turned 29) and takes his work seriously, his partner (in crime ;):rotfl: ) used to work at Liverpool Uni so takes his job seriously as well ;) Well, most of the time they take it seriously, I am starting to get slightly worried about the antics with stuffed animals hanging from the door though :rotfl::rotfl: Especially as it's a Catholic school!

My plans for today are dailies, put some washing out on the line I did yesterday but didn't get dried properly, put DD in school and then I'm going out for a long walk and I'm not answering the phone to ANYONE (except DD's school if they call) as I really need the peace & quiet to get my head straight. I'm not even going to answer text messages :p Need to phone the doctors as well as I forgot yesterday. Will do that about 8.30ish. Off to make sure upstairs is tidy, clean my teeth & then S&S the bathroom ;) Laters

Mornin gall DS2 has gone off very excited with a gang of boys to his new school - so strange to see him in bottle green rather than red.

DS3 all dressed and raring to go. Leaving in about 20 then doing a 'power' walk with my friend. DS1 has chiro and hair appointments today so will fly inbetween.

    Morning All

Didn't get much done yesterday as DS had his first visit to nursery in the morning. Every other school had visits/meetings in June/July time but this is the first time we've been to visit the school. They are doing a home visit tomorrow - all 3 nursery teachers are coming together. When I spoke to the school office before the holidays I asked what time the nursery starts and finishes when they are going fulltime and they said 8.50 - 3.15. When I went yesterday I find out it's 8.50 - 3.00. That means DD and Ds will both finish at the same time at different schools and I haven't got 15 mins to get between the 2 schools! I had to ask what the uniform was as they didn't tell us and just showed us the school jumpers so we could order them. They come in 3/4 or 5/6 - the 3/4 only just fits and he will struggle to get it off on his own - the 5/6 is about 2 inches too long on his arms! He starts next Tuesday - just goes for an hour Tues and Weds and I have to stay with him on the Tues. After 3 weeks he goes full time. He enjoyed his visit yesterday though.

Anyway picked DD up from mate's house and she asked me to have 2 of her kids in the afternoon so between them they trashed the house in the afternoon and didn't go home until 6pm. Had tea, got kids ready for bed, did DH's lunch for today and went to bed. I worked Sunday night so I'd only had a couple of hours sleep.

Tried to get on here a couple of times yesterday but my internet worked for about 15 mins each time then crashed so I don't know whether it was Virgin or my computer.

Anyway today I want to try and get quite a bit done and I must go to the library as well.

DD goes back to school tomorrow and I need to iron her uniform. It's all washed and ready but just needs ironing - like everything else!

Right I'll catch you later - DD wants me to build bookcases with her out of lego.

Hope everyone's okay and LOs first days go okay.

  • Hi all, back in as of today. Did consider having a "day off" after the mayhem of the last six weeks!!:rotfl: but decided I'd better crack on:mad:

DD got off to school ok this morning, her mini bus should have been here at 8.00 but didn't turn up till nearly half past so had DD whinging and moaning till the bus came - she was then happy as larry and went off to school with a big smile on her face. Been and took the dog for a walk so just enjoying the piece and quiet for five minutes without the usual cbeebies droning on in the background, then it's time to crank up the stereo and get stuck in. Gotta have music on loud when doing the housework.

    So here goes today's list......

Tuesday Living Room, Hall and Stairs

    Level 1
    Vacuum floors and sofas
    Level 2
    Dusting, even if around everything
