In the 1930s the party that best represented people's views in Germany were the Nazis.
No it wasn't. The Nazis seized power by using the threat of paramilitary violence to coerce the German Parliament and President into making Hitler Chancellor and passing the Enabling Act. The Nazis never won a parliamentary majority, even in the 1933 election in which they brutally suppressed the opposition.

The idea that the Nazis were democratically elected is a myth.

    Don't write off Ms May.

The Tories have already shown that they will unite behind a woman as have the British people. I can't think of another cabinet minister that has managed to stay this long at the Home Office without destroying their own career.

Yes but how effective has she been there? Jihadi brits slipping over the border, border control a complete mess, tbh I think she is very overrated....and she has a thing of thatcher about her which isnt a plus believe me.

I'm not writing her off, but given that the nicest thing I can say is that I dislike her less than Boris that's no great comfort. At least with her I don't like the things she believes in, with Boris I have no idea what he really believes in apart from doing the best for himself.

Nearly 450,000 Brits died during WW2 while Churchill was in charge, does that make him a failure?

How would you suggest she stops any 'Jihadi' Brits getting over the border, and do you think anyone else would have been more effective. Even if she had given in, even further, to the craven who want to throw away our freedom for the illusion of security she'd have lost as much support from people who value those freedoms as she gained from the 'security at any cost mob'.

I think they have her on standby if the evil queen from Narnia is too busy.

Seriously, Theresa May must be one of the least appealing people in the house of commons.

You continually go on about how nasty the Tories are. Do you know what this is? It is negative emotion. Campaigning on negative emotion is not good. Start to show how your party is better through positive sensible debate and sound logic and maybe people would be more inclined to vote for them.

Or just stick to the villainising, maybe it'll work next time.

Unfortunately I think that is increasingly applying to all sides in British politics, the last general election campaign was one of the worst I can remember.

Ok. I can't wait for Theresa May to become Tory Leader. She will really galvanise the country behind her. And her command over her Army of Ten Million Goblins will save a fortune on Trident.

  • Dan Jarvis and an after EU referendum coup anyone ? Diane Abbott tweeted this tonight. Very strange of her, she hasn't replied to tweeters as yet asking her why she seems to be endorsing this by Jarvis.
Diane Abbott MP ‏@HackneyAbbott 2 hrs2 hours ago Dan Jarvis sets out his vision for Labour as leadership talk mounts http://gu.com/p/4hdp2/stw
Dan Jarvis, the Labour backbencher widely touted as a potential challenger to Jeremy Corbyn, will lay out his vision for the future of Britain’s economy on Thursday, in a move that will be regarded as firing the starting gun on a bid for the leadership
It all seems so stupid it makes me want to give up.
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid ?

So which Tory MP would cause you to vote Conservative at the next election if made leader? If, as I suspect, the answer is 'none of them' then your view is of complete indifference.

It's because The Left don't have any positive vision any more. If you want to see them in their pomp, look at the sickening reaction to Lady Thatcher's death and the subsequent attempts to justify it.
