It's because The Left don't have any positive vision any more.

I find it hard to believe you're really that ignorant to truly believe that, so I'm inclined to take it as another casual lie. However if you'd like to proffer a definition of "The Left" that you think is reasonable and that has NO positive vision, and reassert that you are honestly believe it to be true I'm happy to take a look.

Frankly it's a casual dismissal of a delusional group that through 100 years of power across Europe and Asia showed themselves to be incompetent and tyrannical by turns.

I don't really feel the need to justify in detail comments directed at a group of politicians that align themselves with the tradition of Pol Pot, Stalin and Mao.

Most of the Left of politics seem to define themselves by what they're against. I'm an analyst by profession and if you pay me enough I'd be happy to do an analysis to define Left and Right in C21st politics and look at the number of positive and negative statements made in various sorts of situations (normally I do economics and the environment but it's all the same sort of thing really).

I don't work for free though.
  • Dan Jarvis and an after EU referendum coup anyone ? Diane Abbott tweeted this tonight. Very strange of her, she hasn't replied to tweeters as yet asking her why she seems to be endorsing this by Jarvis.

Dan Jarvis could well be a future leader but I can not see this happening until 2020, People in Labour must experience severe defeat under Corbyn and learn once again the electoral effect of the loony left as in 83 before the light can be seen.:(
Corbyn must stay until then so lessons can be re-learnt.

Perhaps she hasn't forgiven Corbyn for embarassing her all those years ago?

Isn't the current talk all coming from camp Corbyn in an attempt to flush out anyone in the plp up for a challenge and then crush them as an example to any others who might be tempted.....
    I think....

Jarvis has got some funding and has hired some 'advisors', and thus (I would say) clearly has his eye on the prize at some point in the future. But I dare say that the same applies to more than one individual in the PLP.

It's perfectly normal in the modern Labour Party for there to be an almost permanent state of bickering as to whether or not, (a) they picked the right leader last time, (b) who the best replacement would be, and (c) whether or not anybody will do anything about it.

    P.S. Interesting quote here from an "ex-minister close to the former leader Gordon Brown";

If Jeremy Corbyn leads us in to the 2020 election, it's all over for the party. We are screwed.

So the Great White Hope has less than five years experience as an MP and zero years experience in Cabinet.

Having said that he is clearly viewed as a leader by the military and Paddy Pantsdown (sorry) was, IMHO, very good as a party leader and a politician and probably would have been a decent PM although we'll never know.

And looking on Wiki down the list of members of the Shadow Cabinet there really isn't much talent out there.

    More counselling required.

I'd only just finished the sessions I needed after finding out about John Major and Edwina Currie.

The Great White Hope of the Conservative Party had less five years experience as an MP and zero years experience in Cabinet when they picked him to be leader back in 2005.:)
