I am completely tattered, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I have toiled almost non-stop for hours and have finished the transcription of the first interview. Just phoned DS2 and told him, and he's going to send me another one. I don't know whether to be pleased or just meehhhh! (Don't mind doing it really - it's all in a good cause, i.e. his Master's degree.)
Off to get myself some lunch now, and get the next load in the washing machine, and then I'll concentrate on cake decorating this evening.
How is Dot today, pigpen?0 -
Happy Anniversary Lynne.:beer:I'm not sure about that LW. It takes five - six years part-time study (including a masters degree) plus 100s of hours practical to get a full licence up here to become a counsellor. If you want counselling I really think your GP should find one for you on the NHS.
I have severe trust issues, and the idea of some stranger poking about in my head is just so far out of my comfort zone as to be on another planet entirely.:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:cyclingyorkie wrote: »We have a wedding dress!

Mr LW is ploughing his way through pension information. It's extremely confusing - the only thing we've yet found in plain English is Martin's excellent booklet on the subject, which I downloaded. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Happy anniversary Lynne - hope you have a lovely day x
Just scooping up the chidlers then off to get a birthday pressie for Small's friend who is 5 tomorrow. Having my hair done later, so hopefully I'll feel a bit less frumpy. How are you looking now Mumof2? New colour?
Hi Dizzy, my hairdresser has got some sort of style back into my hair (much nicer!), dyed it a nice chocolate brown to cover all the 'tinsel' and mixed red with a natural brown and put some streaks through the hair. It just lifts my overall colour, doesn't really stand out as being dyed and makes me feel so much better. How about you? xFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

Ooh, sounds very swishI've had it lopped to a chin length bob, had my parting moved by about half a centimetre to disguise a very annoying clump of silver hair and DH didn't even notice!
Ds1 has lost his job
Not good news. Was it expected or a nasty surprise? Fingers crossed he finds another position soon.
Not much done today and as it's Mother's Day tomorrow, I fully intend on lounging about, being waited on hand and foot (yeah...right :rotfl:)
Hope all poorly people start feeling better soon. Off to bed now x0 -
Glad Dot is feeling better.
Hope your DS1 manages to get another job soon, dancemum = (((hugs))) to you, I know you're worried about him.
This evening I have made about 40 icing sunflowers. They look quite good
Happy Mother's Day to all who are celebrating,0 -
LW DS has never been able to "engage" (they like that word) with a counsellor. He finds it hard to put his feelings into words with us never mind a complete stranger. Because he cant "engage" no-one can help him. Its all very difficult. We are currently going through assessment for autism and I cant help feeling its going to be a big fat waste of time.
Glad the wedding dress shopping went well CY and glad Dot is getting back to her usual bouncy self.
I ended up spending most of yesterday sorting washing, hoovering, tidying and doing paperwork so I am going to try to do less today.0 -

So glad for you, CY. Lovely.
Well done on the transcription, Ionafan. I don't think anyone who hasn't done it realises just how long it takes and how fiddly it is to get it right.Mr LW is ploughing his way through pension information. It's extremely confusing - the only thing we've yet found in plain English is Martin's excellent booklet on the subject, which I downloaded.
Thanks for that tip, LW. I've managed to get two of mine done and dusted but the third one has defeated me completely. I hadn't thought of Martin's boolet. Good-oh; it was beginning to worry me because it's only a few weeks until it kicks in and I'm really floundering with it. Yay!
(((Hug))) for you, Dancemum, because I know your DS1 wouldn't want one even though losing a job is hugworthy.
Rain forecast again so I can't do the dark load, the double needs changing and occasional lodger's plans have changed so I need to sort her arrangements as well.Better is good enough.0
