  • OOh, I had a teeny tiny tears when I was a little girl - she used to cry real tears and wet her nappy. At £102 I wish I'd kept her !
Saving to pay the tax man
  • The weather was so bad here on Sunday I didn't even bother going to see if my local car boot sale was on: it was very wet and extremely windy, so if the sale wasn't cancelled altogether there'd be hardly any stalls there. I'm hoping this week we'll get boot sale weather.
  • I couldn't go last week as I took my daughter to uni for the first time - so I hope the weather is ok for tomorrow!!
  • Missing my boot sale here too. I usually go with my Dad but he has to go in for an operation (had it friday and seems fine). Just hoping the weather holds now into October and there are lots of people having clear outs.
The traders really annoy me at boot sales, they sell stuff dearer than the shops!
  • Glad your dad's okay! We got there at 8am yesterday and it rained after half an hour so had to abandon - didn't get any bargains:( just out of date crisps and chocolate! oh well. wish I could find a tiny tears or collectable postcards!

we were going a car boot on saturday and we had an old doll in the 50p box (it was found in the loft) and at least three people must have almost stripped her looking for markings. i wonder if they were looking for a tiny tears?

Managed to get a bedside cabinet in a car boot sale in Edinburgh (RIP Former bus garage Sunday car boots!), sanded it down, varnished it and put big metal handles on it. Not bad for six quid! Lovely!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

Did my first sale with my mam and dad

sold lots of old books, lampshades and gift sets id been buying over the weeks some boots stuff

Charged twice as much as i paid for the gift sets and the books i bought and read and took back

made a £106 profit and have enought stuff to do another one

Only got a couple of books when i was there though as to busy selling to look

the way the dealers ask you what you have before you even get the boot open is so annoying

I'm a regular at my local one.

I'm always on the lookout for character bags. So much so, that the sellers know me now and keep hold of bags for me lol.
just passing through.... Nothing to see....
