    Morning all :)
Thanks for the start La E :)
Really interested in all the talk of programmers visualising code in advance of actually writing it - my PhD was on that kind of stuff (though not in the context of coding) and I did lots of postdoc stuff in a computer science department :)

    Right, today's list:
Make OH try on the suit that he bought at the CS yesterday, so I can determine whether it is worth having it dry cleaned
Quick tidy up as OH has some friends coming round a bit later
    Dog walks x 2
Possible trip to the dry cleaners and definitely to the post office - will walk to save fuel :)
Finish shopping list - probably won't go till tomorrow though
    HM meals from stores
Minimal heating on, light wood burner later. Not so cold today, as long as you are out of the wind
Wash little dog coat and prep that and another one (and some other bits and pieces) for ebay listing, hopefully make a few pennies and get rid of bits of clutter :)

I am sure there is more than this, so will pop back later to update.
Hope everyone has as good a day as possible (especially Ziggy) :)

  • All the gardeners out there- I've bought some pepper, chilli, beans and tomatoes. Is it too early to plant if I keep them inside?

Hi folks - crawling back in - I need this thread

I've been reading but not posting but I WILL get back into the habit

    So:-
Ziggy - so sorry for all that you're going through at the moment - my thoughts are with you
Ally - impressive and determined as always - you rock
    CCL - 3 weeks - 3 weeks - hang in there & change the cat litter :p
    La E - a coder - hmmmm - always fancied learning SAS
And to all the other regulars & newbies - hi and you're doing so much better than me.

Anyhow, life in the Clootmeister house has taken an unexpected turn in the last few days. DH was in line for a new knee (think mid thigh to mid calf bone replacement) but got a call on Thursday & he goes in on Tuesday for his shiny new leg. We are both now officially bricking it.
He'll be fine and it needs to be done but now it's so close :eek::eek:.

I need to spend this weekend making life easy for us for the next 12 weeks or so so today will have tasks of piddlyness to make my like easier. I've arranged a change of shifts this week to 8-3.30 to let me get home, see to dogs and then head out for visiting @ the hospital. As I'll barely be sitting down in the house it needs to be self managing for a week.
He's at work today, tomorrow and Monday and has the car so my plans are:-
    • 1 x NSD (I'll nip out to the shops when he comes in tonight to see if I can find any YS goodies for meals for the next 2 days
    • Money shuffle - DH has been paid & shuffle required to cover all d/d etc
    • Tidy house
    • Clean house
    • Take out stuff to garage (sitting in living room at the moment)
    • All washing
    • Ironing
    • [STRIKE]Google how to fix the iron - it's playing up[/STRIKE]
    • Take up 2 pairs of DH joggies he's just got (we're both short arrises and most trousery things are too long)
    • Take up a pair of my joggies (only been lying since Christmas :p)
    • Pack DH's hospital bag
    • [STRIKE]Phone 2 x aunts & let them know he's going in next week[/STRIKE]
    • Plant out Mexican palms in new pots

I think that'll do as a start - there will be more but I'll update as I go.
Wish me luck - & have a good day y'all

Do you mean seeds or plants DB?
Whichever, you can plant them now, but they will not be able to go out till after all danger of frost has passed. Depends where you are, but around the end of May x

All I need now is for Professor Brian Cox to be on tv and my entire weekend will be complete :rotfl:

If he isn't you could listen to him on BBC Radio iPlayer on "The Infinite Monkey Cage".
