BA lounge dilemma

I didn't know they could access the lounge with a domestic business UK ticket if flying onwards in WT+. I guess that does make this thread pointless, as previously suggested!!
they will get access in the initial departure airport before the domestic flight if booked in UK Business but will not get access in LHR before the long haul flight in WT+ (need status or booked in CW or F)0 -

You are correct. Thanks for clarifying and many apologies to the OP for the wrong information provided earlier.0 -
Have to admit I really like the chilli con carne

You can use the Elemis Spa in you're in Club World but you can't prebook an appointment.
Haha ok well it's going to agree with someone. I did have that in T3 last Summer - my little one was getting quite agitated which probably didn't help my enjoyment.
Thanks for the info on Elemis - that's cool to know as I'm drowning in avios and a couple of 241s so was looking at a club redemption and this will convince the wife for sure...!0 -
I wouldn't pay to go in a BA lounge at T5, they've been rammed whenever I've been in them and with BA putting more club seats in B747 aircraft and expanding long haul it can only get worse.
A good seat in Giraffe with views suits me fine.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

If you keep your expectations at a moderate level, then you shouldn't be disappointed.
The CCR and First Lounge at T5 are (in my opinion) not on a par with the likes of Qatar and Cathay's hub premium lounge offerings.
Although there have been some cosmetic improvements to both the Flounge and CCR at T5 recently, they really need a more thorough refurb.
In respect of the OP's situation, the Galleries T5 S lounge is nothing to write home about and can be like a zoo at times - as can the First and CCR.0 -
Out of curiousity, why do so many replies assume I've never been in the business class lounges at T5?
I know they're not great, but as I previously stated if I could get a massage and a shower I'd be happy.Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face - Mike Tyson0 -

I wouldn't read too much into that, people are trying to be helpful and/or just like to express their opinion. You can also get a bit of thread-drift after a certain number of posts (I've also learnt some interesting things that way - not so much this time though
)
More importantly, are you still on the horns of your dilemma, or have you decided whether or not to follow your heart and hit the lounge..?0 -
Out of interest, have you actually been able to make use of the spa without pre-booking? I have read tales of woe from Gold status and F passengers that are entitled to book in advance that they have been unable to book appointments0

Of course not ! Especially if you're spending time together on the trip
What would you expect in similar circumstances?0
