BA lounge dilemma

Got to ask, why should I pay? I haven't created this situation. I don't think BA lounges do paid access anyway
I think ultimately I'll go into the lounge for a bit, not the whole time we're there. Maybe try and go for a shower or get a massage then head back out.
Don't see how it's any different from one person reading/listening to music or watching a video and the other going off for a wander through the terminal? or is that not ok either? do we have to be together every minute?Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face - Mike Tyson0 -
is there any real point to this thread ?"If I know I'm going crazy, I must not be insane"0

I definitely agree with you, but if you can't see the difference anyway, why on earth did you start the thread?Don't see how it's any different from one person reading/listening to music or watching a video and the other going off for a wander through the terminal? or is that not ok either? do we have to be together every minute?0 -
I go on a fair few international trips with colleagues. Personally, no matter how good pals you are with them, it gets a bit much being together all the time. I'd use the lounge do what you need to do and then meet him at the departure gate. possibly put a bit of the free grub in your bag for him whilst your at it!0

I can, I was using the question itself to show that! I'd hoped that was obvious.
As for the thread, I thought it was an interesting, if throwaway, topic. I guess I didn't expect the first 4 responses to be absolute NO NO NO NO right off the bat. Which got me thinking about what (they) think is acceptable for colleagues travelling together.Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face - Mike Tyson0 -
If you're not going to be on the plane together then there's no real need to think that you should stay together at the airport either. If it was me and it was my colleague who could go to the club lounge I'd be more than happy for him to do so. I would probably then book another lounge for myself.0

Myself and a colleague with travelling for work next weekend, our travel is booked by an external agent. He has been booked out in WT+ whereas I have been booked out in Club, both returning in Club on separate flights.
I'm just short of silver so I can't guest him into the lounge, we have 2.5 hours at LHR before our flight.
Would you use the lounge and ditch your colleague?
As your not going to be sat together for the flight what difference does sitting together in the airport make. If you were the other person what would you do if the boot had been on the other foot. If my work colleague could go in but I couldn't I would expect them to go for it and if I got it I would expect them to want me to go in it. I might be a bit jealous but sooner one of us gain something than neither.0
