Evening all,
Congratulations on ds1's engagement mothernerd
Spendy day today as got petrol and it was the annual dog vaccination for two of the boys. Also went to the counsellor (only have one appointment left, which seems a bit daunting) and posted the item I sold on eBay.
Hope you're all wellLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Mothernerd - lovely news! Congratulations to them both.
Today, I have made dd a pair of curtains out of a duvet cover she likes. They are very thin, so the blackout blind isn't being taken down just yet!
The 2nd leak's source has been located and we know what needs doing. But the inside plaster + ceiling probably need to dry off first. It's not a well-heated or well-ventilated spot so we'll resort to using dh's very old fan heater to help it dry.
I have reached the nsd target, but still spent on unnecessaries this month, so I'll go through with a fine tooth comb to analyse those spends. And as dh is no nearer acquiring a job, we do need to continue being careful. A work colleague asked if we were going away at Easter, to which I replied, "no, I don't want to spend money on going away that we may need later on to live on." Dh has finally recieved his redundancy pay, which will last for a careful few months, so we are ok really.
Thank you for keeping me on track this month, mothernerd.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Hello, one moire day to payday, can't wait. Loads of NSDs all around, I think I had three in a row incl today too.
The light switch in the bathroom is broken again. It only lasted a few months (one of those string ones from the ceiling). Will need to get a new one on the weekend.
Will do an online pick up order from Tesco for Friday. It's my dad's birthday soon and I will make him a wee hamper for a Fakeaway. He loves cooking and they like chinese. So I am going to get him some more specialised ingredients for it that I know he's not got or can't get in the supermarket in Germany where he shops. Will also at the same time stock up on things we usually buy there like wipes and cat litter.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Hate this time of the month - (not hormonal) just everyone gets paid monthly (except me) and debts go down. Whilst I am limbo and green with jealousy.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
A successful shopping expedition, with dd in tow too. 41 items for £31 in aldee, and I gave the checkout guy too much money (2 tenners were stuck together) so feel like I gained another £10! And I love it when I get more items than the pounds I hand over
.
Then off up to sainz where I used some of our vouchers, so paid just 39p for £25.39 of shopping :T. I only got things I cannot buy elsewhere (+ a zelf and a jac wilson mag for dd. Zelf paid for by dd; mag is a treat for her).
Have started doing a list of meals for April. Am totally rubbish at meal planning, but since I'm not back at work until the 11th, I hope to get into a good habit.
One idea to stretch my food is this: am currently loving a lunch of 6+ chopped raw veg + aldee coleslaw. So am going to eke out the slaw by adding more grated carrot and well chopped broc or cauli and onion. It will save a few pennies.

Mange tout....
BTW apple muncher I always make my own coleslaw now. Cabbage is cheap, some aldee mayo, maybe some finely slice onion and carrot and a dash of tescimos curry powder. Just having some on my sarnie...
Started to plan DS 5th birthday party to save money but still have a great party. It's in 6 weeks and he really likes ninjago. So I found some free printables (to make cheap water or juice into ninjago drinks etc, bunting, colouring in pages if it rains etc). Already made my own invitations. Will only have about 6 kids round and thought rather than making a buffet I'll get these chinese food/noodle containers (used amazon survey vouchers) and make them a lunch pack like those special ones you get in zoo cafes etc. Will save a lot of money compared to making a buffet with loads of stuff noone eats. Simple sponge cake that looks like ninjago head, sorted and for a fraction of last years party in a soft play.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250
