Extra Energy with-holding refund

Hi,

I'm after some help and I'm not sure what to do. I used extra energy as my gas and electri. Suppliers but switched suppliers in Oct 2015. It took EE until the end of January 2016 to get a final bill which showed I had a large refund due. I've since rang them 5 times to chase this refund and keep getting "fobbed" off and nothing is being done. After asking for the issue to be escalated, the complaints team pretty much laughed at me.

So after going through this, I spoke to the bank and asked for the last DD payment to be returned as part of the DD indemnity claim. There is a 6 pound difference between the DDI payment and the refund I'm owed which I'll pay back but I'm worried that as this payment wasn't taken in error that I could get into trouble for using this process.

Anyone able to help?

Thanks
