cash sometimes takes up to 24 hours. It depends on how busy the system is ..( said the clubcard plus advisor.)

I've topped up the account with cash on more than a few occasions and I always call the balance helpline from my mobile as I leave CS. Never had an occasion when the just deposited monies weren't there immediately.

It's not one of Tesco's club but... don't forget to register at http://clothingattesco.co.uk/ to get money off vouchers for Tesco's clothes.

(£4 off spend of £20, £5 off spend of £25, £6 off spend of £30 and £10 off spend of £50)
  • Hmm, got the letter today about needing to revise their terms and conditions, annoying when the lady that sent the form out said it was the new form! They didn't send my original bills back either, which they required for proof. Turned out to be a real hassle this has!

The way round would be swipe Clubcard+ BEFORE Priveledgecard at the till. therefore Clubcard+ will be used as the points card, and when the bill is totalled swipe priveledgecard for the discount only. Think you can do that.

If you swipe a Clubcard at the till, then swipe a Privilegecard, the till says something along the lines of "Clubcard already accepted", and so won't register the Privilegecard, so the till will not action any discount. Likewise, if you use the cards the other way round, the till will register the Privilegecard and will action discount and Clubcard points accordingly, but the Clubcard will not be accepted because the Clubcard account that is linked to your Pirvilegecard has already been registered for that transaction.

It doesn't seem possible, therefore, to claim your discount while allocating Clubcard points to another account.

It is possible, though, to have two cards collecting points for the same account – for example, a husband and wife each have a clubcard, each with its own clubcard number, but collecting points into one account. If this is possible, then it should be possible to have a Clubcard Plus points account connected to the Privilegecard points account. That way, you would be able to swipe your Privilegecard through the till, and collect points and discount in the normal way, and then to pay with a Clubcard Plus. The points gained for using a Clubcard Plus should then be directed to your Privilegecard points account.

I hope that all made sense.

I go shopping with my mum. My Priveledge card gets swiped, so points on that. Then she pays with Tesco Masercard. So do we get 1 point on Priveledgecard, plus 1.5 on Mastercard, or just 1 on Priveledgecard and 0.5 on Mastercard? Mind boggling!

You get 1 point per pound on your Privilegecard. Your mum will receive 0.5 points per pound on her Mastercard. This is because whenever – and wherever – you use the Tesco credit card, you receive 0.5 points per pound. When you use it in Tesco, you get those 0.5 points per pound, plus normal clubcard points. Except as you are claiming the clubcard points onto your Privilegecard, they don't go onto your mum's mastercard.
