I've ben reading all this about clubcard plus and I'm confused !!! Easily done!!

I 've a Tesco credit card and it pays 3 points when used in Tesco.
So I get 6 points on that shop with a double points coupon.

How many points does a clubcard plus give? Is it worthwhile changing to that?

The Tesco Credit Card is a great way to earn Clubcard Points fast! You'll earn 3 points for every £2 spent in a Tesco store and 1 point for every £2 spent everywhere else that you use your card¹. If you're a Tesco Finest Platinum card-holder you'll enjoy the extra benefit of earning 2 points for every £2 you spend at Tesco.com,thaken from there website.

Clubcard plus is 2 points per £1 so you are better off using this instore than the credit card.
Outside of tescos use a cashback card such as amex platignum which pays 2% after qualifying spend,so a better payback.

Well thanks to the tips in this thread about extra vouchers etc when you're a member of whatever club.......I've just signed up for all of them. :rotfl:

I shall toast you when I receive my first wine money off vouchers through the door, lol. :)

I use my Tesco CC for everything in life that needs paid for, including council tax, dentist bills etc. I just transfer the cash that I would normally use to pay for these things, to my Tesco account once a month to pay it all off. It's amazing how quickly the points add up. Just wish my local Post Office would take cc payments....I pay £200/£300 in there every week to do with work.......pity I couldn't use my card. :)

    Thanks Angela.

I just phoned for the clubcard plus form and got cut off 3 times! Eventually got through and was told that they do not have any forms available as they are revising them due to the FSA and the overdraft facility.

Told me to phone back in 3 weeks time. What a lot of lovely points I'm going to miss by 3 weeks! Wouldn't take my name for a form when available so have to ring back.

I don't have the platignum card but will enquire about that. Also the Amex platignum looks interesting at 2% cashback. I'll look that up too.

    Thanks again. Maisie

I was told to expect an app form only to get a letter saying they aren't available due to changes in FSA :0(

just a thought - could you maybe put one or two weeks worth of shopping on this card upfront, and for the rest of the time just use your normal clubcard? they don't cancel your ordinary card/key fob do they?

When I phoned for application form (Not available for 3 weeks!) I was told you can top up in store but a cheque takes up to 7 days to clear and get to Clubcard plus account and cash sometimes takes up to 24 hours. It depends on how busy the system is ..( said the clubcard plus advisor.)

The Tesco credit card is 3 points per £2 spend. 1 point is from Tesco, the other two are from Tesco Personal Finance. I am sure you actually only get double points on the 1 earned from Tesco, not the ones earned from TPF.
