Basically you agree a set amount to come out of your bank account every month and into your clubcard account and then you use your Clubcard Plus to pay for your shopping either online or in store. You get DOUBLE points every time you pay with your Clubcard Plus.

I tried ringing them and the girl said I could only get application forms in store. I doubt wether she knew what i was asking for. Knowing my store I doubt wether they will have any.

We spend about £70 a week on shopping and £30 a week on fuel. I worked out monthly what we spend, £440, and on pay day that amount goes into the clubcard plus. It also gives you and overdraft of your monthly amount, mine is £440, so if one month you spend a bit more it do it's ok.
I get double clubcard points which is good. I save my vouchers all year and pay for the family holiday. This year i paid for the whole holiday in vouchers and saved myself £1200.
I also have a Tesco cc which i earn points with.
Me too.
I was paying £500 per month into it (before MSE),but now it's down to £350.
Every year,we get our 3 week holiday in the South of France aid for with clubacrd vouchers (don't spend them instore).
Luckily i have changed jobs where i use the company fuel card to put in £350+ per week, and i get the pointsSponsored by Tesco Clubcard Points !!0 -
Telephoned the helpline @ 1900 and was put through to the Glasgow office - who deal with savings. She gave me the blurb: It is a card for shopping at Tesco stores only. You arrange to pay in a set amount each month by standing order / direct debit. You can have overdraft applied up to the amount you pay in monthly. You get 0.79 % net interest savings and can have either a joint account, single account or single account with additional card holder.
I was then put through to the applications dept who sorted it all out and are sending me details in the post - took about 7 minutes in all"There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children; one of these is roots, the other wings" - Hodding Carter

I tend to spend differing amounts every month on shopping, so I wouldn't want to have money hanging about in my clubcard account when it could be in my bank account."There are only two lasting bequests we can hope to give our children; one of these is roots, the other wings" - Hodding Carter

I think my question has been answered by the news that you have an 'overdraft' facility on the account, but now I need to know if you can only use the card in-store?? I only shop online and never visit the store.Named after my cat, picture coming shortly0

How do you go on being accepted for this if your credit rating is stuffed?0

Finally got through to the right person. This card sounds good. It should help with budgeting. The worse bit will be working out how much I do spend at Tesco, probally a lot more than I think I do!
Can you choose when the money goes out of your account and into the green card? And how soon can you use the card?
Also can you view your account on line?
Do the extra points show on your monthly statement and then on your quarterly clubcard statement or do they show on your receipt straight away?
Also if you have a double points voucher form a Tesco mailing will you be able to use it, will it double everything up again?

Yes, obsessed with points. Finally got our own Tesco last December so this is our first full quater and I think I amassed about 5200 points, so quite pleased with myself but now I have to do even better next quater.“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Thanks to Op for bringing this up often wondered what this card was when I have seen someone using it in Tescos. I have a Tesco Credit Card which earns 1.5 points but this will be a lot better and I can still keep my cc and use in other stores where is it ears 0.5 points. Phoned Helpline took a matter of minutes and paperwork in post.
Cheers again:D0 -
