I suppose you can't top this card by credit card?

Er Nope you have to have a standing order each month for a set amount but with online banking you can easily change the amount.

You do earn a little interest on a credit balance on the account. Around 1%. If you aren't going to use the full amount you can withdraw it out at an atm or tesco cs. You don't get double points on the whole amount. If you have a double points coupon and you spend £100 then you will get 300 points. Double on the spend only.

Yes you can view the account online once you setup online/telephone banking. You can call an 0800 number to find out the balance. You can top the card up instantly at any tesco cs (except metro, i think).

You can pick the day the money dd's from your account to clubcard+.

My Tesco credit card gives 2 points for every £1 spent at Tesco, and 1 point for every £2 spent elsewhere. I've only had it about 3 months. Have they changed it to 1.5 points per pound? Or have they changed it from 1.5 points per pound?

On another thread someone said they get cashback for the points coupons that come through. Does anyone know how to do that? If not, I'll go and find the original comment and ask the poster.

What a useful thread this has turned out to be :)

Double-points coupons? Sounds good -- how often do they come through?

Effective 12% cashback if spent on services -- better than a kick in the teeth isn't it?

Could it possibly be that they give you 1.5 points/£, plus the 0.5 points you get anyway?

Personally if it was down to a credit card purchase I'd rather the 1 point/£ plus 1% cashback on the Citicard I currently get. Best of both worlds :)

    From Tesco website:

    'Earn Clubcard points
Whether it's petrol, a package holiday or a meal in a restaurant - we'll give you 1 point for every £2 you spend!'

Therefore I get 1 ordinary clubcard point per pound plus 0.5 from the cc.

I'm sure I got the 2 points per £1 from somewhere, cos it's how I sold getting the Tesco credit card to Misterholic! I'll have to check my paperwork now, see if I can find it, or see what it says at the bottom of my till receipt. There's always an extra bit that says "includes TF bonus points", so I'll work it out.

Very rarely. I've only had two this year. one came with the clubcard statement in February and one came with the wine club mailing in April.
