Parking Eye £70 for 56mins on an Aldi '2 hours free' car park?

Hi Everyone.
I'm sorry to have to start a new thread but i've looked through the guides and other threads on here re: Parking Eye and want to be 100% sure about what I need to do before I appeal.
Basically.... I was parked on an Aldi car park for 56 minutes a week or so ago and received a PCN on Thursday.
The car park offers 2 hours free parking to customers of the Aldi in question, However... I was only there for 56 minutes. I did actually go and buy something from Aldi but paid cash and unfortunately havent kept the receipt (why would you keep a receipt for a sandwich and a bottle of water from over a week ago?)
I'm hoping to appeal it online but I want to be 100% sure on what I need to type/put in the appeal? After seeing the news about Barry Beavis' ruling I'm abit worried.
Thanks in advance
Tina

just use the bit in blue text from the guide (the NEWBIES sticky thread) near the top of the forum
ps:- now you know why you WOULD keep a receipt from a week ago, to protect you from parasites like PE, it forms your contract to park and should be kept for 3 to 6 months, just in case0 -
Don't panic, this can be beaten with a two stage appeal.
Please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES at the top of the main page here, or use the forum jump button near the top or bottom right had corner of this page to find it.
Copy and paste the BPA appeal in blue from the NEWBIES thread and send it off exactly as it is. Nothing added and nothing taken away.
Complain to the Aldi store manager and CEO telling them you will become an ex customer if this isn't cancelled. Do this as well as the appeal and make sure you do not miss the appeal deadline.
Please also read this and sign the petition.

complain to ALDI anyway, get them to cancel the parking charge
but appeal online as well, with the BPA template appeal in blue text
maybe you needed to enter your VRN at the tills , before exit ?0 -
If this was just 56 minutes in a 2-hour car park, I suspect there was a requirement to enter your VRN into a shop-based terminal on entering or leaving the shop premises.
Does your NtK state 'time allowed - 0hrs 0mins' (or similar)? Did the checkout operator tell you of this requirement? Were there any in-shop notices to remind you?
Signage will be an important element of your eventual appeal to POPLA.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

which I also mentioned in my first reply, its what everyone should do with BPA parking charges like this speculative invoice from PE
as well as complaining to the retailer as well0 -

Yes thats right, It says on the letter that there was a terminal to use inside but I never noticed it (i was having a rough day) was not reminded to do so by the cashier. and also theres nothing on the letter to say anything about time allowed. So i still have no idea how long you have to park up and then register.:o:A:o:p
