When I came back, the DD had already been taken while I was away and the bill was showing with a date of 8 Oct! Also, when I accessed the bill, it had no breakdown of any of the charges, so not only did they take the DD without advising me of the amount or date, they can't even tell my why!0 -
Bill sitting there since 11 Oct. No email sent. Normally comes out on 25 of each month. Not happened.0

It looks like the billing and the DD are all happening a week late this quarter for some reason.
But it's OK, after two days I got a reply to my emailed query:-
"Thank you for your e-mail dated 29/10/07 regarding your October bill.
Thank you for contacting BT."
That was the whole text of the reply! I think they're going to pieces.0 -
The state they're in is unbelievable. I know someone whose son works for BT and she said he's told her their "new" computer system's up the creek. Doesn't come as any surprise does it? How does such a large, wealthy company manage to get into this situation? They're not connected to British Gas are they?!0

Just to add to this sham, the Payments section says our Direct Debit is increasing from £61.00 per month to £0.00 per month - I promise that is the right way around! Which number system do they work with....0

It occurs to me that, as they did not comply with the DD agreement (by not notifying me, in advance, the date and the amount, not to mention telling me what they're charging me for), could I get my bank to return the money under the DD guarantee?
I know it would only be until they'd sent me a new notification but the state they're in, that could be years!
