Perhaps you could train some plant up the uprights eg honesuckle to tone it down.
Colours look different at different times of day.
In the summer it could look very different.

Unfortunately the colour of the frame won't, although maybe it could be hidden with claiming plants

I think the OP will just have to live with the colour issue, but they do need to sort the leak. Condensation can be a major issue with a conservatory but not something with open sides so the supplier is talking rubbish there. Don't pay the last 10% till they have fixed it
  • Thank you all for your help. I have taken on board what you've said. With hindsight one is always that much wiser. All I can say is as a customer spending over ten thousand pounds of hard earn money I did all I could to make sure that the product is what I wanted. In this case I was given the option to choose five different shades of yellow/beige (call it what you like). I took them outside to the patio and went through each one individually and chose the one that was the perfect match against my patio. The company in question did not have a finished product in that colour. In future once I've chosen a colour I would ask the company for the chosen colour to be produced on a piece of the product for eg on one of the beam or on the post so you could see it in its true colour. Hope this help others.
  • Our plaza, made of sandstone changes colour every winter. It has a greyish black covering at the moment. Come a warmer day when the clocks go back, a bit of fairy liquid and a brush, and it will be all nicely coloured again for the summer. No two stones are the same shade, just slightly differing.

In essence, the shade may slightly vary between a sample and the actual product. I trust the installer has this in their terms and conditions. Just like may plaza, it changes shade over the course of the day. It is a fact of life.

There's no point in putting up photos of the colour, because computer screens display colour in completely different ways from physical pigments.

And on consumer displays the difference will be substantial.

If you can't repaint the conservatory, think about repainting other elements of your house to match - blues tend to go well with sandy colours.

The leak vs condensation question will be easy to answer - does it drip only when it's raining, or do droplets form on the aluminium when it's cold but not raining?

Colour - tricky one, sounds like they supplied what you asked for TBH.

I think theres possibly been some confusion here - OP doesn't seem to understand what people are getting at when they're asking if its what was ordered/the colour she chose.

No I am not saying they have supplied the wrong colour.
And yes I am saying that the colour I thought I chose is not the colour that is on the glass roof.

I don't think the samples gives a true reflection of the shades in colour.

At least thats how I understood their posts - that yes, its the colour they ordered but it doesn't match the sample.

If that is the case (they don't match the sample), then they don't conform to contract.
(2)Every contract to which this section applies is to be treated as including a term that—
(a)the goods will match the sample except to the extent that any differences between the sample and the goods are brought to the consumer’s attention before the contract is made, and
(b)the goods will be free from any defect that makes their quality unsatisfactory and that would not be apparent on a reasonable examination of the sample.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride
