Notice you did not respond to my correction to your post!!
You don't need an alternative, read the sentence again then I am sure you will realise what I mean!Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
Shove it up your !!!!, dumbass. I don't use my size to intimidate. I spend most of the time driving every day having to make allowances for you morons.
Every new HGV driver always makes the same comments..."I didn't think doing that when I drove my car was dangerous until I started driving a lorry".
1.8 million miles points and accident free, muppet. If I stopped driving today and you kept on driving until you're 180 without having a single accident or getting a single point, you'd nearly have managed the same as I have in the last 15 years.
Somehow I doubt it...
Tell you what, we'll all park up. And in a week when you've emptied all the shops and have run out of fuel, we'll sit there laughing at you. EVERYTHING APART FROM THE AIR YOU BREATHE RELIES ON LORRIES.
Remember, we hold all the cards and even the Govt admitted that when the threat of the last fuel strike was made...
Lorries do use their size to intimidate car drivers. You may not do, but others certainly do.0 -

Those little orange lights,( I am assuming you mean indicators), do NOT give you the right of way, they are an indication,(no pun intended) of what you intend to do, it is an offence to pull out in front of an overtaking vehicle, at the least driving without due care and attention at worst dangerous driving.
Hazard lights are not reversing lights, hazard lights should not be used on a moving vehicle read the HC, you are fond enough of quoting it:-
96: Hazard warning lights. These may be used when your vehicle is stationary, to warn that it is temporarily obstructing traffic. Never use them as an excuse for dangerous or illegal parking. You MUST NOT use hazard warning lights whilst driving unless you are on a motorway or unrestricted dual carriageway and you need to warn drivers behind you of a hazard or obstruction ahead. Only use them for long enough to ensure that your warning has been observed.

The law for a motor car and the law for HGV/Buses are completely different, they have their own highway code books and separate theory books. Not all rules and laws for big vehicles will be found in the bog standard highway code. The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 10

What a complete load of rubbish!
From the Highway Code, first page:-
The Highway Code is essential reading for everyone. Its rules apply to all road users: drivers, motorcyclists, cyclists, pedestrians as well as horse riders.
Navigate around this site through the road user categories, keyword search (A-Z index) or simply browse through the rules.
Many of the rules in the Code are legal requirements, and if you disobey these rules you are committing a criminal offence. You may be fined, given penalty points on your licence or be disqualified from driving. In the most serious cases you may be sent to prison. Such rules are identified by the use of the words MUST / MUST NOT. In addition the rule includes an abbreviated reference to the legislation which creates the offence. Abbreviation explanation.
Although failure to comply with the other rules of the Code will not, it itself, cause a person to be prosecuted, The Highway Code may be used in evidence in any court proceedings under Traffic Acts to establish liability.
Knowing and applying the rules contained in The Highway Code could significantly reduce road accident casualties. Cutting the number of deaths and injuries that occur on our roads every day is a responsibility we all share. The Highway Code can help us discharge that responsibility.
Larger vehicles may have extra duties placed on them, but it does not put them outside the LEGAL requirements of the HC!Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
the highway code is the same for lorrys, buses, motor bikes ,push bikes, people, hores and cars ,it here http://www.highwaycode.gov.uk/ i would say that most of us inc me should read it again

I haven't got any pent up or other aggression, I am just pointing out the law, just like others do, in relation to people getting it wrong and stating otherwise.
So what is your reasoning behind having a go at me just for putting the correct facts onto the thread?
You would be better off slating the people who are putting up wrong info therefore bringing the possibility of a prosecution to the people who might believe them!Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
Get yourself a beer sit out in the sun and relax, forget about all these silly rules & regulations we all have to follow:beer: be quick though, Labour might ban drinking soon:shocked:0
