...and another ten grand off. That's £20k in a few weeks, and we're now just about a year from my mother's first viewing.

Auction can't be far away now.

    :rotfl:

This is the thread that just keeps on giving. Again.

Final closure on this thread. That Bungalow finally sold this March, for £40k below what they would have sold it for last February, if not for their stupidity...

    I've been Money Tipped!
Don't you just love it when Natural Justice prevails and greedy plonkers get their come-uppance?

This little nugget of satisfying news has truly made my morning! :D
  • Your story brings a smug smile of joy to this money saver's eye. Karma - gotta love it! (I have my own greedy seller story, but it's a damp squib compared to yours).

    Thanks for the update.

D'you know what? I can't even remember if we read it or just binned it now. If we did read it, then it must've been so thoroughly uninteresting that I can't actually remember what was in it!
what a shame final final closure cannot include sharing this thread with the  nephew ;)

    Well - yep...stupidity it is.

Personally - I'd have used the words "greed" and "immoral".

    Serves them right anyway:T

So their grand total is the loss of that much money and they should be counting their time/effort wasted on trying to grab for some more money. Never ceases to astonish me just how low a value many people put on their time/effort - when they could be getting on with Having A Life and doing what they please.

Two decades is just silly, that was the trough of the last crash :rotfl: The media are certainly ramping up the doom and gloom though, for whatever reason ;)
