    How satisfying is that! :T
  • A great story! I'm glad your mum didn't get that place - it just doesn't seem suitable. It looks as homely as a 1950's army barracks.

Hope she's happy where she is :)

  • Ah - so the "conservatory fiasco" explains why the (now dead) owner of that house left it to nephew's wife - rather than nephew himself. That did seem odd - like she knew something she didnt like about her nephew - but couldnt quite bring herself to leave her money elsewhere.

Wonder how well that marriage is doing now....

And another ten grand off now, too.

Oh, yes. And yet another agent change... Still with one of the very local agents, but the second agent is now easily an hour's drive away...

Looks like fresh photos, but none of the work the place needs has been done.

Why are you ignoring people who are asking what was in the letter? We NEED to know! :rotfl:

D'you know what? I can't even remember if we read it or just binned it now. If we did read it, then it must've been so thoroughly uninteresting that I can't actually remember what was in it!

...and another ten grand off. That's £20k in a few weeks, and we're now just about a year from my mother's first viewing.

Auction can't be far away now.
