As you can see, a 35ft living room and 2/3 acre makes it an ideal retirement property for a 77yo woman living with her dog! It's the front-left corner that's sagging badly, the dressing room/bathroom on Bed1 on the map, but there are cracks throughout that whole end.0 -

They still complain about " Greedy Mrs X" though !
This is why I would have done what AdrianC's mum did and walk away... it would forever niggle me that I had been done over. I guess I'm not as forgiving as some people.Every generation blames the one before...

So for the benefit of Google this is a:
4 bedroom detached bungalow for sale in Titley Herefordshire
with an asking price of "Offers in Excess of £465,000"0 -
...and she's completed...
But, of course, I can't leave this thread without another little gem, can I?
We bumped into the agent for That Bungalow t'other day. Turns out the vendor "fired" them. Much mutterings of "good riddance"... including a mention of rumoured underhand dealings in other realms. A good googling reveals that he was featured on Watchdog in 2006, something to do with taking VERY substantial deposits for conservatories that were never built...0 -
Given how !!!!!! the conservatory on the back of that one is, losing the money was probably a lucky escape for them!0

What did the letter from Nephew's Wife to your Mum say? Did you pick it up from the EA?0

Another update, prompted by linking here from another thread. Tomorrow's September. That bungalow is still on the market, now with two agents, and at a price lower than my mother was days from exchanging on, back in February...
Meanwhile, she's been in her new home since late May.
