New Scottish Power Tariff

Every time i change the DD goes up but as soon as i put in a meter reading it is recalculated as it takes into account if i have a credit and what my last bill was. As i have just done my monthly reading i will wait till next one to reduce my DD myself online. Did you get the option to reduce as i have had, if not go on DD manager and imput meter readings it should give you the option. It has reduced it every time and as we are heading into summer i have gone as low as £25 for both a month and my credit £0. You can keep a eye on your DD with SP.
It says because I have just switched tariff I cannot adjust my D.D for 24 hours. I will try again tomorrow0 -
Well, in my area, SP's beat cancer tariff only affords a measly £3.36 per KWh. That's a rubbish deal imo. The fixed 2017 v2 only goes to £2.97 so I really don't think SP is competitive in any sense of the word. They really need to do better tbh.
SP tariffs are not even considered on the Uswitch best deals site...0 -
Exactly, that is what I said, always do a comparison for your own area.
This is just a post to make SP customers aware of a new and potentially cheaper tariff so they can tariff hop, but always do a comparison first.0 -

Maybe that's because they don't pay commission. Or you haven't ticked the box about whether to show all deals or only those involving commission.
And the numbers you mentioned look very high (even after correcting pounds to pence). Try looking up the rate for paying by monthly direct debit, which is cheaper.0 -
If there's ever any cheaper deals while you're with SP they notify you on the first or second page of every invoice, with annual costs for the new tariff shown.0

May 2017 has been released!
For my area it is about 0.01 pence cheaper for gas which only knocks £6 off my yearly bill! The term marginal gains springs to mind.0 -

Here it's about 0.8% more for both gas and electric units, so £5 a year more.0 -

No movement either way on gas and elect in my area NE. Tariff prices are the same. Very disappointed. Don't think it is worth it for one extra month.0
