Congratulations on the wins lately

We came back to five parcels. Four children's books and one adult book. Some next door so was great to meet them. I knew of three wins but not five.

I also had this amazing win from the end of months

BikerChick was delighted it was a MSE win.

I've been going in for watches for my SonIls. When I received email DH said you are not giving that away are you? I asked him if he would like it and he said yes! This is a bluetooth watch all singing and dancing and we don't even have smart phones. He said that was the point the SIls have smart phones. We will see when it comes.

My trainer win came in so useful. They have small mosaic tiles on the pavements there. So trainers were really comfortable.

It sounds like a wonderful holiday - staying with DS and
GKs then on to Madeira! :j Lovely that you found winning
trainers very comfortable when walking in Madeira. :T I'm
the same - have to wear decent/comfy footwear wherever
I am - can't remember the last time I wore heels!

I actually hadn't realised at the time my appendix ruptured
of how dreadfully serious peritonitis is. :eek: My dear mum
(who was a nurse) did and she had warned family members
to prepare them in case I didn't make it. :eek: Luckily for
me, my guardian :A and the hospital :A's took
such wonderful care of me ..... I lived to tell the tale.

So pleased your friend's niece survived peritonitis too, at
such a young age.

rose - your sis was an extremely lucky little girl too - it's
amazing how many peeps recall incidents regarding the
appendix!

It was a beautiful weather day here yesterday and today
it's looking to be similar just with a few more clouds!

Alfie everyone seems to have a story about some thing we can do without. I had mine out while in Germany aged 20 on an Easter Saturday. When I came around I wished everyone a Happy Christmas. Lo I still recall the pain.

More ironing and sorting clothes here then off to pick up GS from school. Thats DD1s about half an hours drive away. Have not seen him for a while. We will have to go back to visit DS this week. He's recovering from infection he picked up from DH but GKs didn't get lt thankfully.

Alfie, that must have been a scare for you and family with peritonitis. My brother had his out and there were complications so he has a massive thick scar going right up his stomach instead of a side scar. Since his kidney ops though they have made the scars much neater when they've opened him back up. DD is still having stomach pains but not as bad but she was sick again yesterday. The hospital said it could still be grumbling appendix so I will keep an eye on her.

Well must go to work in this horrid pouring rain! We had to close school yesterday to pupils as our kids and staff were all coming down with this winter vomiting bug so we had a good clean out to stop infection. Back to normal hopefully today!

Morning everyone. Bit later today as did an online shop then had to go to Health Centre for flu jab. We have blue sky here this morning but it is freezing again. Will have to did out thermals as I can't stand the cold. Good luck with comps today everyone.
