Discovery Casio Competition – 1 September 2016 to 31 December 2016 (the “Competition”)

The Competition is open to UK and Republic of Ireland residents only, excluding employees of Promoter (details of which are set out in paragraph 18) and their families, the Promoter's agents or anyone professionally associated with the promotion.

3. Entrants who do not give correct details or those who make an entry on someone else’s behalf will be disqualified, at the Promoter’s discretion. No entries from agents, third parties, organized group or entries automatically generated by computer will be accepted. No bulk entries.

4. Entrants must be eighteen (18) years old or above at the date of entry. Proof of identification may be required at the request of the Promoter. Entrants must meet the eligibility requirements as specified herein. Failure to meet the eligibility requirements may result in an entry being invalid and/or forfeiture of any prize(s).

5. Entrants expressly declare and represent that (i) they submit to English law and jurisdiction in participating in this Competition and (ii) they are individuals and not a company or any professional and/or commercial entity.

6. This promotion will run from 1 September 2016 to 31 December 2016 (the “Competition Period”) and will consist of four phases as follows:

6.1. Phase 1 – from 1 September 2016 until 12:00pm on 30 September 2016;
6.2. Phase 2 – from 12:01 on 30 September 2016 to 12:00pm on 31 October 2016;
6.3. Phase 3 – from 12:01 on 31 October 2016 to 12:00pm on 30 November 2016;
6.4. Phase 4 – from 12:01 on 30 November 2016 to 12:00pm on 31 December 2016.

7. By entering, the winner agrees to participate in any publicity or promotional activities as may be reasonably required by the Promoter. Further the Promoter reserves the right to use the names of the winner in any publicity.

8. Method of Entry: The Competition can be entered by completing the Competition entry form which can be found at https://www.discoveryuk.com. To be successfully entered into the Competition, the entrant will be required to correctly answer one (1) multiple choice question. The entrant may also be asked to submit their full name, email address, contact telephone number and address to allow the Promoter to contact the entrant in the event of the entrant being chosen as a prize winner. All entries will be moderated to ensure they meet the criteria set; any entry not meeting the minimum criteria may be disqualified or amended in Promoter’s sole discretion. Limited to one entry per person, per Phase. Entrants to each phase of the Competition will be automatically entered into a Grand Prize Draw. For the avoidance of doubt, where one (1) entrant has entered multiple phases of the Competition, the entrant will only be entered once into the Grand Prize Draw.

9. Prizes

9.1. There shall be four (4) sets of prizes which will each relate to a specific phase of the promotion.

9.2. Phase 1 Prize – One (1) entrant will win a Casio Edifice Watch EQB-500D (valued at approximately £300.00).

9.3. Phase 2 Prize – One (1) entrant will win a Casio Edifice Watch EQB-500D (valued at approximately £300.00).

9.4. Phase 3 Prize – One (1) entrant will win a Casio Edifice Watch EQB-500D (valued at approximately £300.00).

9.5. Phase 4 Prize – One (1) entrant will win One (1) entrant will win a Casio Edifice Watch EQB-500D (valued at approximately £300.00).

10. The Grand Prize

10.1. One (1) entrant will win:

(i) Return flights for two people to Rimini, Italy;
(ii) Travel insurance for the two (2) people travelling to Rimini, Italy;
(iii) Fully inclusive car hire for the duration of the trip (provided one traveller is over the age of twenty five (25);
(iv) Five (5) nights’ accommodation at a luxury four (4) star hotel in Rimini for two (2);
(v) Breakfast for two (2) in the hotel restaurant each morning;
(vi) Tour of the Toro Rosso Factory in Faenza for two (2); and
(vii) Two (2) hospitality tickets to the British Grand Prix 2017 at Silverstone, highlights include: admission to the circuit and hospitality venue, parking, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, complimentary bar.

11. The Competition:
Each Phase of the Competition shall take place as follows:

(i) Phase 1
All entries received by no later than 12:00pm on 30 September 2016 will automatically be entered into the Phase 1 Prize draw. The Prize draw will take place on 3 October 2016. The Winners of the Phase 1 Prize will be contacted via email, post or telephone within two (2) days from the date of the Prize draw to confirm they have one the Phase 1 Prize (the “Promoter’s Phase 1 Notice”). The winner must claim the Phase 1 Prize within ten (10) days from the date of the Promoter’s Phase 1 Notice. If the Phase 1 Prize is unclaimed after this time, the Phase 1 Prize will lapse and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed Phase 1 Prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with these additional terms and conditions.


(ii) Phase 2
All entries received by no later than 12:00pm on 31 October 2016 will automatically be entered into the Phase 2 Prize draw. The Prize draw will take place on 1 November 2016. The Winners of the Phase 2 Prize will be contacted via email, post or telephone within two (2) days from the date of the Prize draw to confirm they have one the Phase 2 Prize (the “Promoter’s Phase 2 Notice”). The winner must claim the Phase 2 Prize within ten (10) days from the date of the Promoter’s Phase 2 Notice. If the Phase 2 Prize is unclaimed after this time, the Phase 2 Prize will lapse and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed Phase 2 Prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with these additional terms and conditions.


(iii) Phase 3
All entries received by no later than 12:00pm on 30 November 2016 will automatically be entered into the Phase 3 Prize draw. The Prize draw will take place on 1 December 2016. The Winners of the Phase 3 Prize will be contacted via email, post or telephone within two (2) days from the date of the Prize draw to confirm they have one the Phase 3 Prize (the “Promoter’s Phase 3 Notice”). The winner must claim the Phase 3 Prize within ten (10) days from the date of the Promoter’s Phase 3 Notice. If the Phase 3 Prize is unclaimed after this time, the Phase 3 Prize will lapse and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed Phase 3 Prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with these additional terms and conditions.


(iiii) Phase 4
All entries received by no later than 12:00pm on 31 December 2016 will automatically be entered into the Phase 4 Prize draw. The Prize draw will take place on 9 January 2017. The Winners of the Phase 4 Prize will be contacted via email, post or telephone within two (2) days from the date of the Prize draw to confirm they have one the Phase 4 Prize (the “Promoter’s Phase 4 Notice”). The winner must claim the Phase 4 Prize within ten (10) days from the date of the Promoter’s Phase 4 Notice. If the Phase 4 Prize is unclaimed after this time, the Phase 4 Prize will lapse and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed Phase 4 Prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with these additional terms and conditions.


12. All entries received from 1 September 2016 until 12:00pm on 31 December 2016 will automatically be entered into the Grand Prize Draw. The Prize draw will take place on 9 January 2017. The winner of the Grand Prize will be contacted via email, post or telephone within two (2) days from the date of the Prize draw to confirm he/she has won the Grand Prize (the “Promoter’s Grand Prize Notice”). The winner must claim the Grand Prize within ten (10) days from the date of the Promoter’s Grand Prize Notice. If the Grand Prize is unclaimed after this time, the Grand Prize will lapse and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed Grand Prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with these additional terms and conditions.

In respect of the Grand Prize:

16.1. All travel included shall be subject to availability. The departure airport used will be dependent on the direct availability from the winners nearest available international airport, which may not necessarily be the closest. Non-UK passport holders may need a visa for the travel destination, which should be arranged at the travelers own expense.
16.2. The date and time of the tour of the Toro Rosso Factory in Faenza shall be confirmed to the Grand Prize winner as soon as reasonably practicable with such prize being subject to availability.
16.3. The Driver must be over the age of twenty five (25) and have held a full clean driver’s licence for a minimum of two (2) years. Fully inclusive car hire shall mean unlimited mileage, collision damage waiver, theft protection, local taxes and airport fees. The Driver must also hold a valid credit card with a minimum of £1,000 available for the security deposit, which is refundable upon safe return of the vehicle.
16.4. The winner of the Grand Prize must be available for the British Grand Prix 2017 at Silverstone, scheduled to be held on 9 July 2017, but may be subject to change of a decision made by F1 and their regulators. Tickets will be for the day stated on the ticket only and are non-transferable.
