Been really misty here but the sun is trying to come out now.
Must be annoying not being able to sleep for the heat - doesn't happen here very often! Was quite chilly last night although I didn't sleep that well as there is so much going on at the minute it is difficult not to keep thinking about them. (I am a real worrier)


Well done on the baking win C0nfused. I haven't made a cake for years. DD had a spell of making them. DS2 said she had a real talent for them and lots of chefs are useless at making them.


Mum probably put the jelly in the Knickerbocker Glory because she was keen on it rose. Glad you got some for gks.

Arrived in Hartlepool at Sisters, rain the whole journey.

Very wel done COnfused, thats great. The thing I cant bake is scones, dont know why but very are always flat.

Its very hard not to worry Sheils, sorry you didn't sleep well and hope you sleep better tonight.

Indie you're right it's no cooler at the coast!

Soory you have rain Sylvia what a journey. We had traffic and Heat, GS said he was cold with air con but traffic kept moving. They enjoyed the beach.

Sheils we have had nothing but worry these last two years. I don't think you stop worrying. I too have been waking really early. I'm been thankful for comping. Keep trying the CTWs I've bookmarked in the morning. Maybe I'll win one still have to be in it to win it.

I didn't know I could bake! Lol! I so rarely make cake! I just went with a basic sponge cake recipe and used the trusty old food processor that I have to mix it all together.. The food processor is, at least 25, probably nearing to 30 years old! It was my mum's but when she stopped using it, she let me have it.. I remember her using it when making cakes when I was a child.

Good Morning,


Had a dreadful night but not because I was worrying this time. Our water went off as there was a burst main up the road so they were working on it through the night. There were vans with flashing lights going about and clanking and gurgling all through the pipe network and then to top it all we had torrential rain! On the plus side I have checked in for our Salou holiday and have our boarding cards so don't need to worry if we will be seated together or not. Never had that system before as I refuse to pay to be seated together. DD refused to pay on her holiday too and got separate seats but at the airport they had changed them so that they were together. Really object to the way everywhere tries to get as much money as possible out of you. Anyway just a week to go now. Hope wingo is having a good time.


Sorry you have had a lot of worry leanfun. My worry is just silly really as most of it is about opportunity for the kids and hopefully all will be wonderful. Did have serious worry when DS2 was in an abusive relationship many years ago and he wouldn't leave her. She brandished a knife once though and that was it. The worrying thing was she went on to be a nurse and broke her heart over him leaving.


Sorry you had bad journey Sylvia. Hope you have a nice visit to your sisters.

This is my angry face! Had both my wing mirrors smashed last night outside Sisters house. Called police and got a crime number but it doesnt make it any easier having to pay for new ones. Expect it will be about £200.

Sorry to hear you had a bad night Sheils, must have been awful, hope its repaired now.
