Sunny start today here. Hope it stays that way. Had enough of the heavy showers. April noticed on weather forecast still rain in Edinburgh. Come on summer.

Sylvia, do take care not overdoing it with decorating. Bet your DH is chuffed with new lap top. Mine still gets stuck with his and needs help every now and then. Although at the moment it's Grandad can we use the laptop from GKs.

Wingo great to hear from you. End of summer term is always tiring. Do hope you enjoy your holiday when it comes around.

Inkling hope you are feeling better.

FireFly so pleased to hear you have a choice with your win that's great.

Hope everyone has an enjoyable and lucky day.

According to the weather app for today it's not supposed to be too bad today, but looks like rain again tomorrow. *sigh* I'm so disappointed in summer so far!

    Good morning all!

Wow Firefly... that's so nice to be given the option for vouchers.

The sun is shining here today. Thank you for all the well wishes, I'm still unwell but am feeling significantly better than yesterday. :) Currently trying to catch up on a little comping with a nice mug of tea.

I don't blame you about the phone Wingo... geez. Very cheeky of them! Hope the batch cook goes well Rose!

Hoping the lucky dust comes your way today. :D

    :hello: Hellooeee everyone!

Hi wingo! Bet you can't wait for your holiday away now ....
not long! What a bloomin' cheek re the offer on your fone -
£2.40  - tight wads etc  springs to mind! ;) :rotfl::rotfl:

As you say, it would be best to give it away than accept
that measly sum from them! :p

Glad you're feeling a little better today Inkling. :)

It's another beautiful sunny day here again today. :D

Had another very productive day gardening yesterday -
more pruning, grass cutting and weeding!

I've got a beautiful very tall outdoor yucca plant (almost
reaches the height of my bedroom window) and the
bees love it when it 'blossoms'. When it has finished
blossoming then the birds swoop in - to gets insects
etc. It's so fascinating to watch. The blossom has the
    most beautiful scent too. :p

Afternoon everyone hope you are well. Inkling take it easy and put your feet up. Sun shining here today. Had to run out fast yesterday to bring in washing as we had two heavy showers just before mid day. Just stuck the towels in dryer for 10 minutes and they were done. Freezer looking healthier now. Also made a pasta bake for DIL and GK's. So she picked it up on her way home from work yesterday. They are off to Glasgow transport museum today so it will be easy for her just to stick it in the oven when they get home. Nipped over to butchers and got a load of sausages and lamb shoulder. So slow cooker is bubbling away. Love lamb casserole. So more meals cooked and frozen. Cousin is bringing me over a load of strawberries. She has a huge garden and her and her DH grow all sorts. So will put them in blender and roughly blend and freeze. Fab with ice cream for kids. Sometimes buy pastry cases and stick some in with whipped cream as well.. Enough about food making myself hungry lol. Yukka plant sounds fab alfie. Hope everyone has a lucky comping day.

My you have been busy Rose. Great to have food by in the freezer. Made me feel hungry too

Your yukka sounds good Alfie. Your sign reminded me of one we saw in a garden Centre in Kent. Rabbits keep out. Lo and I think they did.

Well we did a circular trip today. Bus to Greenwich park, picnic there then ice cream. Boat trip on Thames Clipper to London Eye, pizza and the train home. GKs had great time. GS was do disappointed not to go on the Eye but we had not prebooked and the queue was too long. Very tired now but pleased to say it didn't rain.

'St. Swithin's day if thou dost rain
For forty days it will remain
St. Swithin's day if thou be fair
For forty days 'twill rain nae mair.'

There is an old saying when it rains
on St. Swithin's Day, it is the Saint
    christening the apples.

leanfun! :T I've not been on the London Eye but I'm
guessing the views must be spectacular!

rose - just reading back about all the lovely food dishes
you have prepared is making me feel hungry!

The courageous and lovely people in France are in my
thoughts and prayers this morning.

Morning everyone. Bit dull here but it is supposed to brighten up later. Awfull news about what happened in Paris Alfie. God bless them and may they all be safe today. Hope everyone is well this morning. Going to the shops later as I need to buy a birthday card and a pressie for friend. She is easy to buy for as she loves Yankee Candles. So that and a box of chocs (she has a sweet tooth) on the shopping list. May even buy myself a candle as a treat. We have a fab gift shop that sells all sorts and has a huge stock of Yankee so will have a pleasant time having a sniff at them lol. Take care everyone and be lucky.
