Sun a bit slower this morning but forecast is good. We are thinking of visiting Port Logan today. We have been watching a box set of "2000 Acres of Sky" and that is where it was filmed. It is nice over there.
Did anyone watch the series when it was on many years ago?
Really enjoying watching it again. Lots of people thought it was filmed on Skye.
DH's brother has his heart operation today so I am going to keep us busy to keep DH's mind off it as he is really worried. Think we will have an early meal out with a voucher I got for my birthday tonight too.
Hope everyone has a lucky day.

Morning all.
Sheils day out and evening meal sounds good. Hope everything goes well with DHs brother. It's a worrying time.
Well still thinking about it but when DH took car out of garage yesterday we had a pool of water across the middle due to rain night before last need to investigate further but couldn't see any leaks. Also garden looks a jungle!
Sunny here so far.
Good Luck everyone.0 -
Morning everyone!
Congrats on the holiday win sheils, and hope everything goes ok with your DH's brother.
Haven't been round the Inn much lately as I've been feeling a bit disenchanted with the whole comping thing! The only things I've won this year are a tiny handcream and (accidentally) a weed sprayer that hasn't even arrived! I'm also a member of a brand community that has a supposedly random draw every month but the same names keep coming up and I've yet to win a thing...
Sunny again today, but I hear tomorrow we're supposed to be back down to 9 degrees!! Spring is so confusing!0 -
:hello: Good morning everyone!
Hope you're all well.
It's another beautiful day here with the sun shining and
birdies singing away. Yesterday was just as glorious -
the rain had stopped by mid morning and it was sunny/very
warm for the remainder of the day! :T
Needless to say the filing wasn't done yesterday but the
garden is looking fairly good.
A day out and meal sounds lovely sheils, hope everything
goes well with DHs brother, it's such a worrying time. xx
Well done with your latest win!
Try not to feel too disenchanted with the comping thing April,
a win could just be waiting around the corner for you!
Hi to everyone else. Have a lovely and lucky day all, I will
catch up later.

April, Alfie's right a win could be just around the corner. When you want something to happen it doesn't seem to. It must be over 28 days since you won the weed killer sprayer, if it is I would email them.
Well some good news here we have decided the water must have come in under the side door of the garage as the mat is saturated. We managed to sleep through some mighty downpours. No sign of any water leaks from roof.
Really warm put there now. I've come in for yet another break.0 -
Thanks for all the good wishes re BIL. He texted at 11.30 to say op had been postponed. He has been waiting in hospital for 2 weeks now. I know the Welsh health service is supposed to be the worst in UK but getting silly now. What a waste of a hospital bed and the stress must be terrible for BIL and his wife.
Had a lovely day out though and revisited the filming sites of 2000 Acres of Sky. Has been sunny all day but a bit windy over there.
Got some shopping at Sainsbury (£12 off £60 to spend) and few things in Aldi.
Glad your garage roof OK leanfun, they are expensive to redo.Mar Wins :- £2 GfK Media

Thanks all, my only win for this month but satisfied with that!
Girl is on holiday and says she will book and confirm on Monday. Have checked and they have plenty of vacancies. They have been closed since November due to flooding and then refurb so will take a while to get busy again I expect.
It isn't really a cheap stopover 3for as it has a full restaurant service and pool etc. It is the Express Holiday Inns that can be cheap. You can get bargains on certain nights though especially for DB&B. There is a Premier Inn across the road too which is sometimes cheap. Really like the location there.
I had read that they had been flooded and just thought we might get a deal if they were trying to tempt customers back. We were looking for an overnight stop on the way back from Suffolk so it didn't really matter if we came back up the east coast or the west coast.
We are staying in Durham at the Travelodge as it was cheap enough considering the prices we were being quoted elsewhere. The rooms aren't really set up for 3 adults in the one room as the 3rd adult is sleeping on a sofa bed which is ok for one night but not really what you want to sleep on when staying 3+ nights.A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Hi Rose great to hear from you. Thought you might be not well hope you are really on mend now. Great your DS and DIL are so supportive. Brilliant that you made it to shop. Take care. Hugs
We too had chicken tonight but with mushrooms and pasta.
PS Sheils so sorry to hear your BILs op was postponed. That's a lot of waiting and anxiety for him and all the family. Do hope he does not have to wait too long.0
