Morning, Happy Birthday to your DS sheils.It's been raining here since the early hours,even the dog don't want to go out..lol.Hopefully it will clear up later.Just having a lazy day today. Hope you all have a lucky day.

Just found a FB message from Holiday Inn Lancaster saying I won a nights B&B there. It was sent on Friday though. Woman sent it on friend request instead of message though so only just found it. Can't get in touch with anyone either as hotel being refurbished at moment and getting out of office messages. Hope I'm not too late to claim. Their tag didn't work either for some reason. It is one of our favourite hotels and won 2 nights there once before. Had to cancel our Twixmas break there because of flooding. Fingers crossed I get it OK. Have messaged on FB

Happy birthday to your DS Sheils and congratulations on the win.

I was looking at that Holiday Inn when trying to find a cheap overnight stop on the way back from holiday but it wasn't cheap enough. Went for the Travelodge in Durham instead partly because you can get 3 adults in a room so we only need the one room.

Thanks all, my only win for this month but satisfied with that!
Girl is on holiday and says she will book and confirm on Monday. Have checked and they have plenty of vacancies. They have been closed since November due to flooding and then refurb so will take a while to get busy again I expect.


It isn't really a cheap stopover 3for as it has a full restaurant service and pool etc. It is the Express Holiday Inns that can be cheap. You can get bargains on certain nights though especially for DB&B. There is a Premier Inn across the road too which is sometimes cheap. Really like the location there.
