DS is in mourning as apparently his lot of louts lost 5-1 to another lot of louts. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

I'm not sure that I approve of that. You see these poor craftsmen knocking themselves out for a pittance, so whatshername can pretend she's made a profit.
I thought she might have sold that fine robot statue for a bit more, and it would have benefited from not having a loudspeaker underneath, which she insisted on.
She used £32 worth of materials to make lampshades out of old chicken wire. For another fiver she could have bought new chicken wire which would have been a lot, lot nicer to work with.
Still, I love to watch what they make. A lot of it is very clever and creative.
Yes.
I know I've said this before, but I still feel that the point of the programme is not so much about making a load of money out of old tat. (At the end of the day, not factoring in the labour costs makes it obvious that there's no real profit).
However, it does let people see old tat in a new light; it shows the possibilities that a little bit of skill and time can do to something you might be dumping into landfill.
Not necessarily to make a lot of money, either.
I think it's quite a clever programme in that respect. Ok, it's staged, set up and all the rest, but the end product is to show what you can do with stuff.
We're such a throwaway society, it verges on the criminal! 100 years ago, none of that stuff would have been thrown away.....it would have been utilised in some way or other, all the way down the food chain. It's good to stop seeing rubbish as rubbish, and to see it as having potential!(I just lurve spiders!)

There is a programme called 'the home game' 3pm on ITV. 4 contestants try to add value to their homes. Episode 2 had some amazing roofline windows that opened up to act the wall of a balcony.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Today's Tat:
A collection of old spectacles from downsizers, she estimated at 1940s to 1970s. Washed in a bowl of soapy water she flogged them to a vintage stuff shop in Winchester for £55.
2 chairs, £220 to flock them in bright pink and replace the seat base and add new material to the seat. Sold for £245 to a (scouser?) woman with a shop. £25 profit.
A small/short single drawer unit with mirror over that was intended to be wall mounted/leaning. Dan in London painted it a hideous green, added 4 new legs so it's standalone, etched the mirror.
Looks bl00dy awful imho and the etching looks like a beginner had their first go ..... £300 to wreck that piece of tat.
Sold to a vintage/retro furniture boutique in Cheshire bought that for £375.
If she were covering those distances she'd not have made enough to pay for the fuel on a moped!0 -

Don't know - I can't get past the advert on the itv catch up website.
The window looks like a velux in two parts, the upper part opens upwards out of the way. The lower part pushes forward and becomes the front wall of the balcony.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. What a brilliant idea for flats with lofts but no outside space.
I just watched the house that £100k built. What a lovely, inspirational property with a great spec. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
