I think it was a lot larger than that when he started though, I'm sure I saw holes cut out (e.g. for power cables) ...I'll see if I can find other photos.
EDIT: Here is the episode - it's the first item at 2 minutes 14 seconds in, don't need sound obviously.

To see the end result - and the underside where he gave up/c0cked up, go to 31 mins 27 seconds.0 -

Just before the 2 minutes 14 seconds, there is some attempt to fashion a cage with butterflies on it, that lostinrates once liked.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. That is absolutely ghastly! What a waste of a decent bit of granite! Should have just cut it down and put it on the frame and sold it for a lot less money... Prob would have made a much better profit for the guy who donated it.
Thanks dear PN for putting that up (watched the bits about it) as I now know I can ignore that silly woman's stuff. Can't remember what I watch at that time of day - might be Hotel Inspector? Ah well, at that time I just poll the dial till find something (anything) that might be watchable, but I do really like the Hotel Inspector.0 -

I'm not sure that I approve of that. You see these poor craftsmen knocking themselves out for a pittance, so whatshername can pretend she's made a profit.
I thought she might have sold that fine robot statue for a bit more, and it would have benefited from not having a loudspeaker underneath, which she insisted on.
She used £32 worth of materials to make lampshades out of old chicken wire. For another fiver she could have bought new chicken wire which would have been a lot, lot nicer to work with.
Still, I love to watch what they make. A lot of it is very clever and creative. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0
