Mr Spirit is awesome in his Superman Pyjamas.
He is 48 hours into man flu. Day two asleep in bed:(
OH has been invited as a guest to a "gentlemans dining club" followed by an invitation to join. His inaugural dinner was last week. They have a club (bow) tie. Nophilanthropic aims just interesting companions meeting for Dinner, mostly in London Clubs but some meetings in the shires.
Not MSE at all, but I begrudge him nothing. If I want MSE then my next husband will be a keen gardener or Diy enthusiast.:o
I have christened it the Junior Gannymede and laughed my head off at the tie. If he was at all smug after dinner at the (insert posh club name here) last week, it was knocked out of him by the journey home. The train was substituted by a coach for much of the journey.0 -
Choose 1 of 3 doors - chance of being a winner = 1/3, chance of prize being in other two doors = 2 in 3.
So choose a door, now get given this choice: keep current choice (1/3) or have both the other doors (2/3)....
But it isn't "both the other doors" because the winning door may be the door you first chose.
..but I do remember it being correct to swap.

I've had a quick skim through the Paradox and I get it. I believe I now know what it's all about and that, actually, everybody's trying to answer the wrong question.
But, in order to not "spoil" it, whether I am wrong or right, I won't type out what I mean by that.
Happy to type it out if anybody doubts that I have any clue at all0 -
Is it that you swap, because then, overall, you would have had a 2/3rds chance of winning?
ETA... sorry, just seen that michaels typed the same. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

No idea about Gen's question, but thought you might like to know that Mrs Harold came to visit today. She was pecking under the bird feeder, but OH came back from shopping and scared her before I could get a photo. But it was nice to see her. Now living in hopes that later this year we'll have baby Harolds! :rotfl:0

That would be lovely :j
As for which hypothetical box I should open, I haven't a clue but will be interested to find out which is better to open and whyIf I were in that situation I would probably stick with my first choice.

Yup, michaels and viva have it right. You swap as your chance of winning doubles if you do! Amazing.0

I'm doing some research on the sugar tax so have a quick q for the nice people.
How much would you expect to pay for a 330ml can of Coke or similar branded soft drink at a petrol station or convenience store/newsagents?0 -
