How difficult is it for you to spot your house without them?

Would a blue light look like a police station?

Aren't lights meant to be taken down by 12th night?
    Harder than you might think.

Do the police so fairy lights?

    Yes, 5rh//6th Jan
    I think....

Christmas lights are supposed to be taken down by twelfth night. If michaels recategorises his as all year round lights, then he doesn't have to take them down.

Next door have white fairy lights around their garden all year round. That's at the back, though.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

It's 12C in here, so I just decided to turn the heating on as that is a bit nippy. Frosty outside!

Much the same when I got up.

I forgot to turn the thermostat to 'auto' last night, so had no hot water when I woke up either, which has put me an hour behind where I want to be :(

    That's what I do, too.

    Me too.

It's why you see me on MSE at weird times (usually I show online when in the middle of something else as I've opened Safari and it's the first tab, but I don't actually check it).

Its not uncommon for me to have 5-10 working tabs open at a time, depending on what I'm doing, as I tend to get things like contact details for those I need to call in separate tabs and 'cross them off' by closing it afterwards.

I banged my elbow in the bath, on the side handle. It bl00dy hurts.... feels like the sort of thing that'll give me a twinge for 2-3 days.

    How annoying.

It's "hurt" more than I suspected. Not bad, but it hurts like a bruise every time I move my arm. It "hurts" when I bend my arm.

It's not the funny bone, it's close - about 0.5" further round to the front.

I suspect I'll live.... but if the arm drops off I'll let people know.

I'll be actively "cooking with one arm" later today no doubt.... which isn't a problem as today it's a ready meal cottage pie into the nuker + some mashed carrot I made, which will also go in the nuker.

    :)

Good job I wasn't doing something very complex .... but then I never do :)

I thought you are meant to bang the other elbow for luck?

Anyone else heard that, or do I just have very superstitious ancestors?
