I've brought what's survived of my "Xmas stash" downstairs from upstairs and popped it into a bag for life in the kitchen .... I was going to put it in this room, but it'd have been calling my name and I'd have started on it.
Technically, in my house, I shouldn't really start eating anything "bought for Xmas" until tea-time Xmas Eve. It's tough sometimes though and some stuff simply gets munched early ....
I am really pleased that last Christmas I said I was going to "stay home alone" for this one ... and I've done it. It's a good feeling, knowing I don't have to be out driving round everywhere finding gifts for people I don't know at all, then wrapping them, then having to dance the tune of other people's timings/ways ... and having to "dress up" and not relax.0 -

It's certainly larger than "for 1" and generous for 2, but nowhere near as big as others.
Aldi don't have many of their products on their website or on mysupermarket, which is annoying. I just checked both for the trifle, not there.
It's so disappointing not being able to compare actual size/weights precisely.
We are at carols by candle light right now but will check the weight when we get home. No storm here just a spot of rain, we were playing basketball on the drive earlier till it got too dark and started raining.I think....0 -

My house has permitted removed. I have to apply for full PP for anything, but because the permitted was removed there's no fee to apply.0

I don't think I have it, but I do think in general one would have it unless it were specifically removed. And I value my garage as a garage. (Although I would like to add the same square footage to the house as a garden room / conservatory)That's my point - if they removed the permitted development right, why would you think that you've got it back again now?I think....0 -

Anything else would send me into a meltdown of indecision .... choice is great, if you want it. Choice sucks for many.
Entirely his sentiments too...he hates choice, hates having to make a decision and yes, it sends him into multiple meltdowns. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I'm going to get out my Aldi pretzel thingy selection box now
I do not buy treats for the house usually, as this happens!
Got our treats yesterday, they are sitting untouched in our treat box waiting for Boxing day...yep, I actually have a box which is called a treat box and this is where anything that isn't a main food goes, with the other two at uni, there isn't usually a lot in it.We made it! I looked up last year's Xmas Notes list - I wrote down what I bought and what I shouldn't bother with this year.... I knew I'd done it, hadn't bothered to read it though.
Finally checked and realised that I'd said not to buy monkey nuts this year - strangely I'd already bought/opened them and decided again, this year, it was a poor choice. They simply don't taste how they used to taste years ago.
I am still at the stage where I don't know what I want ... so last year and this year I've made a full list of everything bought and making notes as I go along for what I didn't need to buy.
I do need to put a note on for next year to buy one of those chocolate trifles. I've spent my life wanting one of those; never had one, we always had to have a Birds strawberry trifle and, with all the food overload you get, I'd never have bought one with "just me" in mind to eat it all. 2017 ... I will buy one .... and I will eat it ALL.

Cheesecake beats mince pies. Cheesecake beats donuts.
When I was a student back in the 70s we didn't have a freezer so we bought packet cheesecake mixes. I think they were Ma Green's brand but the internet is absolutely pants for defunct commercial activity. Out of our £3 per person weekly food budget, we'd usually get at least one kit per week and bake it ourselves (mind you we had to bake our own pizzas as well - I'm amazed I still like pizzas at all).
Cheesecakes were brilliant. We were so short of space for food we used to hang food out the windows at night to keep it cool or under the beds (the coldest parts of unheated houses). We made our own wine and beer and our own yoghurt but that was disgusting. As were the beers. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
