Although, to be fair, I'd have not noticed anything had happened if I'd done/said it ... whatever it was .. and whenever.
Whoosh ... is the sound of everything passing me by.
We luvs yoo anyway!
Maybe you're like a person I once knew who, years and years ago, in the 1980s, was visiting me one day for a cuppa /chat.
In the space of one long conversation she managed to say that she didn't like brown decor, or fringed lampshades or (one other thing which I've forgotten), and how they were awful.
At the time, all three things were the rage, and we were sitting in a room, (mine), with a brown-painted wall, a brown fringed lampshade, and (whatever the other thing was).
I went to the kitchen to get something, and I suppose that while I was away, she had a look at her surroundings, because when I returned she apologised.
The thing was, that this was just her; I knew what she was like and that it wasn't malicious or sarcastic and she wasn't out to belittle me or anything.....she simply didn't notice things. I had just let her comments pass me by, whilst feeling at worst just slightly bemused.(I just lurve spiders!)

Today, woosh is the sound outside my windows. Nothing passing by (yet) but it is definitely a tad draughty out there0 -
Anyone got a ball park estimate of the cost to convert a garage into a bedroom with en suite?
To include:
Suspended timber floor.
Plasterboard for walls and ceiling + insulation.
New french windows.
Build solid wall where garage door is now.
All plumbing, tiling, electrics.
I have plans if anyone interested. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

In your neck of the woods? Take whatever number doozer comes up with and then triple it for post code pricing!
You could post on the diy board, some people there good at estimating.

That reminds me of aeons ago, in the early days of Brookside on the TV, when the 'rogue' family of the Close decided to 'illegally' convert their garage to a bedroom. In order for it not to be noticed by the powers that be, they kept the roll-up door, and built a wall just inside of it! :rotfl:
It made me wonder how many copy-cat conversions there were after that! :rotfl:
Planning laws are different now, I think.(I just lurve spiders!)

I think it might be permitted development - only because when we had our extension one restriction was that converting the garage to a room would not be permitted development.I think....0
