Billy no mates here and it was £800.00 ish last year.
One of the benfits of being int grim North.:D0 -
We have bifolds, I love having the big picture window onto the garden even if they are not open that often. What I do regret is that the 'kitchen' only has the bifolds and soem velux and we didn't get at least one of the velux with electric opening/closing as with the bifolds there is no 'open the window' option although you can open one door on its own.
Coughed this morning and hurt my lower back. Despite painkillers it is now sore when I sit down, sore when I stand up and very sore when I 'shuffle' (the closest I can get to walking). Last time I did this 2 months ago (putting on socks) it was fairly sore for a couple of weeks. Pretty fed up
Our water bill is only up about 4% this year after 10% last year - what I don't understand is how come offwat claimed price rises are capped to less than cpi?!I think....0 -

Are you in the Northern Poorhouse area?
Our council tax was 2040 last year. Has stayed pretty steady for about four years. I really have to think hard about wat we get for it apart from bin emptying. Oh yes, schools, police ( well in the towns anyway)and I think that is it. But the opportunity to contribute to the greater good is important. When a unitary authority mops up much of the urban hampshire, the County wide layer is only going to have us to focus on. I expect further cutback in services as they struggle to sustain the overhead budgets.0 -
micheals, sorry you are in pain. As it has recurred will you look for a diagnosis?0

Gosh, loud red helicopter came and circled overhead several times and then appeared to land in one of the gardens down the lane from the field. Didn't seem to be far enough away to be landing on the beach or beach car park. Wonder if it lives here, or is just visiting! :rotfl: Second we've seen today, we think the first one was the air ambulance though, it seemed to be landing in the direction of Cilan Headland. Always plenty of excitement here in the country!0

Ours will be nearly 3 times that.
I guess we live in the more selective grim & innumerate part of the North !
Still, I can console myself that much of the increase in recent years has gone to help retired police and firemen take up their painting & decorating hobby in their 50s and turn it into a viable later life job (thus undercutting the young who are preoccupied with loans and mobile tariffs).0 -

You is dead posh Kaba, sorry Mr Yiri. I bet you don't even know anyone that lives in Runcorn ( I try not to:eek: ).0 -

Looking at our bands I think ours is £1303, but that's after we get a band reduction because I'm disabled and we have put in a downstairs shower room for me to use. Reduction is only about £186 pa but anything's better than nothing!Having the downstairs loo and basin is really useful, but I've yet to use the shower!
Mostly prefer to bath while I'm still just about able to get in and out of the bath! <roll eyes smiley>

Not posh here bugs. We live here because DW grew up here. It's a family tie thing.
My sis lives in Appleton, 'spose that doesn't count as pseudo-Runcorn?
I like spending time over that way, including Merseyside. It's a bit flat though. I prefer the hills of the Peak0 -
