Big red helicopter just flew away, possible in the direction of Ysbyty Gwynedd... So maybe it was the air ambulance again. It's not showing on Flightradar anyway.
But there's a plane came out of Liverpool has been going up and down over Caernarfon for ages now! I wonder if it's Google Earth... I've done a screen grab but don't know how to put it on here?
Update: Weird plane now heading away from Caernarfon. Maybe on way home to Liverpool. It's a Partenavia P68B Victor and owned by Ravenair I think.0 -

You live near Poitiers, Dianne? That's properly Greater Hertfordshire! Not even close to the heart of NPshire.
Say sorry to to your poor hen for me. Maybe you should lay on some gas and air?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Yours is £1250. So is your husband's

PasturesNew wrote: »Looking at the 1939 Register and I'm wondering if the family took in some Jewish evacuees. There's a distinctly sounding Jewish named person living at the house of G-granny's sister. They'd have done that, if asked and a lot were floating about.
I ran the name through FreeBMD but there are a few people with that name, it looks like the birth might've been in Pancras region - and there's a death that matches in Wandsworth, but they could be completely different people entirely ...and I've no way of knowing. I know the one listed would've died before 1991 else she'd have not had her name showing on the Register, but that's all I know. Not when/where.
Not interested enough to follow it all up and try to get any lists of evacuees etc, which somebody's probably got stored somewhere in the world in a box...
The girl was aged about 9. There might've been a younger one too, but the records are locked for younger people.
Well, all I can say is I hope they enjoyed their mad adventure .... that house was bombed the following year, with mum's cousin (12) dying when the supporting beam fell on her bed.
There are a lot of gravestones online, but you do need the year of death.
There are also jewish family tree sites, but as you say, this isn't your relative....unless they intermarried with your family and never returned home.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Salt beef sandwich and a pint of London Gold for a late lunch. Forgot how tasty pub food in London can be.
Nom nom nom.... Now time to fight the crowds on public transport back across the city.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Once we have Brexit and you have independence you will need a visa to come and visit...
Hamish will be too busy working out ways to spend his share of the "Sovereign Wealth Fund", which the Nats have promised him
My suggestion is simple on this issue. Just top it up with an extra pound and spend it on a Happy Meal0 -

That's sweet of youHe's a friendly old soul, but yowls a lot - he's deaf now, so he can't hear how loud he's being
The cattery had room for him though, and we've managed to book a couple of nights in a comfortable hotel in the exotic location of.......Eastbourne :T hopefully a few freezing strolls along the esplanade will help recharge my batteries
Ouch Dianne, your poor hen :eek:0 -

Ah..... That could be a problem.
I've just spent the rest of the afternoon drinking in London with the commensurate London prices.
Don't tell me that 'bonus' from St Nicola will be underwhelming?
I may have some explaining to do with the wife....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
